Republicans’ Big Ugly Law has already cut $187 BILLION from SNAP leaving over 257,000 Californians without food assistance. Now, they’ve passed their Farm Bill that doubles down on those cuts by: ❌ Reducing SNAP assistance for more than 40 million Americans ❌ Overturning state laws that grant states the right to set their own food production standards ❌ Leaving families to deal with Trump’s affordability crisis with no relief I voted against this bill — I will not support any legislation that takes food away from families and makes it harder to afford basic necessities.

The House passed what Democrats have been fighting for all along - pay our TSA workers, not ICE. This could have been done much sooner but Republicans are so incompetent and refuse to support working families. I will continue to stand for working families and against Republicans' cruel policies.

What Donald Trump’s handpicked Supreme Court is doing to undermine the Voting Rights Act is horrid. Today’s ruling will have harmful consequences for Black, Brown, and minority communities across the country who are owed fair representation in government. We must use every tool to counter Trump and Republicans’ attacks on our democracy — including passing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act to restore voting protections for all Americans.

Trump’s incompetence is fueling delays with DACA renewals, leaving DACA recipients stuck in limbo without answers. Here’s what you need to know about renewing your DACA status. I joined the Maggy Haves community in North Hollywood to celebrate 50 years of nurturing and supporting young learners and their families. For 50 years, the Maggy Haves School has been a cornerstone of early childhood education in the San Fernando Valley. Here’s to 50 more years of shaping the lives of our future leaders!

I’m bringing $1,000,000 in federal funding to @LAValleyCollege for its new Cybersecurity Training Center! This investment will train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and strengthen our local workforce. I will keep working to expand career opportunities for students in CA-29 and support California’s cybersecurity initiatives.

Public housing programs help hundreds of working families in my district afford to live in safe stable homes. The Trump Administration is threatening these programs—putting more families at risk of being homeless and worsening his affordability crisis. I joined the Neighborhood Council Valley Village for an Earth Day celebration! 🌎 As a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, it is great to see our community taking action to build a more sustainable Valley. I will continue working to protect our environment so CA-29 has access to a cleaner future.

I am relieved to hear that none of the attendees at last night’s White House Correspondents Dinner were harmed. I condemn the actions of the perpetrator. Acts of political violence are never acceptable.

If you have ever had a window seat on a plane, you were probably next to a window made by PPG Aerospace in Sylmar ✈️ I visited PPG Aerospace’s facility to learn about the manufacturing process and the jobs it creates for constituents. I will continue working to make sure manufacturers like PPG Aerospace can keep creating good paying jobs here in CA-29.

Today we honor the 1.5 million lives lost during the Armenian Genocide. As we move forward we must continue to strengthen our commitment to justice, accountability, and make sure atrocities like the Armenian Genocide never happen again.

As a member of the Congressional Armenian Caucus and representative of one of the largest Armenian American communities, I joined my colleagues in Congress for a commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. The atrocities that were committed 111 years ago must never be forgotten. That is why I am a proud cosponsor of the Armenian Genocide Education Act to ensure future generations understand the lasting impacts of this tragedy.
