Listen carefully to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The desperation is dripping from every word. Watching him appeal to the UN is rich, considering his own administration branded it irrelevant, undermined it, and slashed its funding. There is a lesson to be learned: Do not start wars you can not win. And if you do, stop whining about it. Own the consequences.....

This is utterly brutal and outrageous. There is no excuse for Dutch police violently assaulting a pregnant woman simply because she wanted to stay with her detained PALESTINIAN husband. The Dutch authorities must ensure full accountability for this blatant human rights violation. Such incidents indicate systemic bias & discrimination within their law enforcement.

Its easy to hate those you do not know. This is why our governments criminalise diplomacy, ban media, smear, censor, cancel, cut people-to-people contact, make it "controversial" to discuss security of opponents, replace discourse with emotional slogans and stereotypes etc.

This is genuinely incredible and says SO SO MUCH about the perception of China in the West. This is the #1 news show in France, and the host - David Pujadas - asks the pundits around the table (a sample of the top media figures in France) if they can name 3 living Chinese people. That's it: they just need to say the names of 3 living Chinese people, anyone. This should be extremely easy. Yet not of a single one of them can name a single Chinese beyond Xi Jinping. They do not know a single living Chinese person beyond the president. That's the level of ignorance of China we're dealing with in the West today, in 2026. This is the source for the video: tf1info.fr/replay-lci/vid… Aired live yesterday 28th of May 2026.

Every time... Also, how insanely dishonest is it to present the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC) as merely a "US non-profit"? It's literally an anti-communist propaganda outlet founded by an act of Congress and based in Washington DC! VOC are so extreme they count Nazis killed by the Soviets during WW2 as "victims of communism" (hamptonthink.org/read/red-scare…), as they do all deaths from Covid-19 globally (victimsofcommunism.org/international-…). The FT using this as a source for their Xinjiang claims, using their claims uncritically (if you read the article, Zenz is cited a crazy 8 times!) without as much as mentioning how insanely biased they are, can frankly only be characterized as propaganda. That's not even remotely journalism.

Wow, logic and reason from Europe, it's been a while! And it comes from "garden v jungle" Borrell, who's unexpectedly proven one of the only sane European voices over Gaza. Here he states the obvious: x.com/rosiebirchard/… "Let's be logical: how many times have you heard the most prominent leaders say 'too many people are being killed'. President Biden has said it was 'over the top'... Well if you believe too many people are being killed, maybe you should provide less arms in order to prevent so many people being killed... Isn't that logical? And in 2006 in the war against Lebanon the US already took this decision. They already took the decision of pausing the supply of arms to Israel because Israel didn't want to stop the war. Exactly the same thing that happens today. Everybody goes to Tel Aviv, begging: 'please, don't do that, protect civilians, don't kill so many'. [...] But Netanyahu doesn't listen to anyone. They're going to 'evacuate': where? To the moon? Where are they going to evacuate these people? So if the international community believes that this is a slaughter, that too many people are being killed, maybe they have to think about the provision of arms. And by the way today a court in the Netherlands has ordered the government to stop exporting the spare parts of the F35 fighters to Israel in order to be sure that the International Court of Justice rule is being implemented. So I don't know, every member state is the owner of its foreign policy, but it is a little bit contradictory to continue saying that there are 'too many people being killed', 'too many people being killed', 'please take care of people', 'please don't kill so many'. Stop saying 'please' and DO SOMETHING!" It's exceedingly rare to see such a prominent Western official - who's still on the job! - call out Western hypocrisy, especially American hypocrisy, in such a fashion. After I'm not holding my breath that this will bring about change. Borrell has no real actual power and if anything major European countries like France and Germany are doubling down on their support of Israel. So rather than give me hope, I'm afraid this might more be seen as a dying last gasp of reason and morality in the "garden".

Powerful words by 102 years old philosopher Edgar Morin, one of France's most revered intellectual figures, as well as a Jewish WW2 resistant who fought as a lieutenant in De Gaulle's France combattante. x.com/bob30031583/st… Here are his words on Gaza: "I am both astonished and outraged by the fact that those who represent the descendants of a people who were persecuted for centuries for religious or racial reasons... That the descendants of this people who are today the decision-makers of the State of Israel, that they could not only colonize an entire people, partly drive them out of their land and seek to expel them for good... But also, after the massacre of October 7, engaged in a real massive slaughter on the populations of Gaza and continue, incessantly, hitting civilians, women, and children. And to see the silence of the world, the silence of the United States, protectors of Israel, the silence of the Arab states, the silence of the European states who claim to be defenders of culture, humanity, human rights. I think we are living through a horrible tragedy because we are also powerless in the face of this thing that is unleashing. At least, I say: bear witness! The only thing that remains if we cannot resist concretely is to testify. Let's resist in our minds, let's not be fooled, let's not forget, let's have the courage to face things head-on."

Edgar Morin died today 😢 May he rest in peace, he remained deeply committed to morality and justice to the very end 👇 A very big loss.

This is really remarkable: the Philippines is undergoing a huge grassroots-led green revolution, with millions of ordinary Filipinos installing Chinese solar panels on their rooftops. So much so that the Philippines just became, so far in 2026, China's #2 solar export market on Earth 👇 A lot of it is driven by the current energy crisis and the fact the Philippines now has the most expensive residential electricity in Southeast Asia. This makes the economics of solar panels a complete no-brainer: as per the Ember report (ember-energy.org/latest-insight…) a Chinese solar panel - given cost of electricity in the Philippines - now has a payback period of only 3.1 years for households and 2.3 years for businesses. Given that the average lifespan of a solar panel is roughly 30 years (panels from the big Chinese makers - Longi, JA Solar, Trina - now come with 30-year performance warranties as standard), it means that when you install one on your rooftop you essentially get free electricity for about a quarter of a century! We're used to thinking of green energy as something top-down, the government imposing on reluctant citizens, but increasingly - in large parts of the world - it's becoming the exact opposite: a bottom-up movement of ordinary people who simply want cheaper energy.
