@realtueltime @racing_dudes @NYRABets 5% or $5 whichever is greater. Are they going to charge me $5 a month forever for an account that I want closed, but they make it difficult to do so? Why not just say that they will close any inactive accounts and if they have to return a balance they will charge a fee on that?

Today I waited in chat queue for two hours to get the info required and they gave me a 1-800 number and disconnected. Called the number and the wait was two hours. Not waiting.

@racing_dudes @NYRABets I don’t get the fake outrage. No wagering or depositing in over six months…Are you still watching the races live or on video?? Then the fee seems reasonable. Just like an RTN subscription. Just withdraw the balance if you aren’t gonna use the site. It’s really that simple.

@RepoleStable Nothing that Mike Repole could do would screw the horse player more than the status quo and those lining their pockets from the CAWs and this broken and dying industry. I’m willing to give him a shot.

Unless you’re happy with the status quo in this industry, this is a really a bad take. For four years I’ve been fighting for the future of horse racing for the people who love and depend on this sport, and most importantly, for the Thoroughbred. My sole purpose is simple: to make this sport better for the people who love it, want it, need it, and for the Thoroughbreds themselves. I grew up a kid from Queens dreaming of owning a racehorse and winning a big race. I’ve been unbelievably blessed to achieve more than I ever imagined. My battle with The Jockey Club has nothing to do with power. I don’t want control. I don’t want a role. I don’t want a future seat in this industry. I want positive and necessary change. This fight is about evolution in a sport that has been decimated by decades of poor leadership, stagnation, and inaction. I’m fighting for the people this industry has failed and tarnished. For the Thoroughbreds. For the fans, horseplayers, breeders, owners, track operators, trainers, jockeys, and the countless hardworking employees who truly care about these magnificent athletes. Everyone agrees the industry needs significant change. The Jockey Club claims on its website “The Jockey Club has pursued its mission… dedicated to the improvement of Thoroughbred breeding and racing… earning widespread recognition as an industry leader.” Does anyone actually believe this??? That statement could not be further from the truth. Three decades of declining participation, shrinking foal crops, collapsing tracks, ignored aftercare, lack of traceability, and an active kill-pen and slaughter pipeline prove otherwise. Love me. Like me. Dislike me. Hate me. But understand this. I am fighting for the Thoroughbred. For the people who still believe. For the future of this sport. I never wanted nor intended to bring a national lawsuit against The Jockey Club and its Board of Stewards. But I refuse to sit back and ignore the misery the people of this industry are forced to endure and the lack of protection and lifetime care for the Thoroughbreds themselves. Are you Team Jockey Club or Team Repole???

With news of Turfway's cancellation, instead of shifting to another track, we decided to take the week off. Apologies to our regulars but we will turn the lights on again in a week!

Hopefully the Rooftop area will be open to all ticketed attendees as @Keeneland sorely needs a place for General Admission/Reserved Seating people to sit and dine.
