There's currently a community event going on called Shelter Competition. You can participate simply just by posting a screenshot from your shelter to the RtV Discord. At the end of April, community will vote three best shelters and those will be awarded with IRL Savotta merch.

The past 24 hours have been absolutely insane. Road to Vostok is currently Top Seller in many countries, front page on Steam and with Very Positive rating. I will share some launch stats when I have gathered enough data (+ some sleep), but I can already say that the launch has been extremely successful for a solo dev and secured the entire production budget for this game for years and years to come. Three days left. Tomorrow I will put the EA build on full lockdown and publish a massive changelog of what the upcoming release will exactly contain. This changelog contains nearly 200 additions, fixes and changes compared to the demo.

@Rirage07 Unfortunately my email is totally nuked, there's some sort of bot system in place to ask for keys and such near the launch. I think I have received +1500 emails within few weeks, most of those are bots but it's totally out of control and I have to filter those after the launch.

People have played the demo on Steam Deck and I did one quick test with this release build also and it launched without issues. However, I wouldn't say it's official supported yet since I haven't had time to make it fully Steam Deck compatible, so there needs to be more work for UI scaling and usability stuff like that. I will make those usability tweaks at some point later on :)

@HackDotSlash Hi! Those current assets there are unfortunately really old (+4y) since I haven't had time to update any of those. At some point however when I have time, I will most likely release all the 3D-models that I have made over the years as CC0 and categorize them properly.

Just finished another playtest, where the goal was to complete some of the hardest tasks in early access (without any dev tools). Based on this playtest, I can pretty confidently say that the difficulty for some of these tasks is pretty nuts. Here's few screenshots of my favorite tasks from Doctor and Gunsmith. In total the early access has now 30 tasks, so 10 tasks per trader.

Good news. Road to Vostok just passed the Steam review process, so we are set for Early Access launch on April 7. This was the last external topic left, so now everything is up to me and I will be polishing the actual release build all the way until launch day.

Hi! Vulkan caused a lot of AMD-driver issues with the demo, so I don't want to have those at early access launch. Vulkan is still available with Steam Launch Options but the default one needs to be DirectX for this game. You can read the full explanation here: store.steampowered.com/news/app/19636…

Hi! Just to let you know, I'm doing a "demo reset" tonight related to upcoming early access. Key points: - Switching demo from Vulkan -> DirectX - No more issues with AMD drivers - Performance / rendering parity with EA - Few additional bug fixes In order to implement this update, I unfortunately have to reset the demo entirely. This means overriding all game files, including existing demo save files. Otherwise the demo content will be the same, so just backend stuff changes.
