Initial UNC/VCU thoughts: -Well that absolutely sucked. Up 19 and going home. Can’t happen. -Free throws proved to be costly down the stretch in regulation and overtime. You can’t go 12-20 and win in March -lack of second half substitutions proved to be costly. Team simply ran out of gas. Hadn’t played that way all year. Interesting we did that today -Guard play exceeded expectations until the final 8 minutes of regulation & OT. Dixon and Trimble were both exposed. -Veesaar did everything he could but it wasn’t enough. Wonder if he wants his UNC career to end like that. Under HD, UNC has been eliminated in the Round of 64 in back to back years for the first time in program history. They’ve now blown the largest halftime lead in a national championship game & the largest lead in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. His seat is officially hot. Whether I like it or not. Onward. TAR!
