Actually I have one more for you. The discord where majority of the information on the event is being shared, including live updates from the organisers as they tweak and amend the above rules and decisions, has a rule where you must use your real name as your tag. Many people questioned this and have reasons as to why they were uncomfortable about it, but these were ignored. As a result, organisers have just removed 100+ people who hadn’t complied from the discord, and those people no longer have access to updates and relevant info. Side note: many of the people expressing discomfort were women. Side side note: there doesn’t appear to be any women on the organising team (could be wrong but if there is, they aren’t speaking up). #GirlsThatPvP

Imagine there was a regional event in the US, but... - Only 120 spots were available, with no clarification on how many are for VG, GO, or TCG - Worlds qualification is extremely competitive, only offering 10 slots for GO players - It is one of only 2 announced regionals in the US for the 1st half of the season - Registration went live at 2am in California, and 5am in New York - Flights are very expensive, costing anywhere from $700-$1500 - The organizers ignored the systems used for the hundreds of other tournaments that had been hosted over the past years, instead opting to use a brand new system that has a low probability of working There already is that event, and that event is Auckland.
