Work to elevate the Valley course over the past years has paid huge dividends, and the feedback on the new holes, the flipped nines, and the entire experience has been second to none. Now, a trip to Portrush without a Valley round is an incomplete experience.

Summer evenings on our links are not far away, and if you're lucky enough to be staying at the Rosses and also playing the Valley, you're in for one of the best two days of golf available, topped off by our superb clubhouse offerings and hospitality.

From above, you can see how our two links' are carved into the same duneland, yet remain entirely distinct. The Valley occupies the lower land, sheltered by a dramatic duneridge that Calamity sits upon. Across that ridge is the Dunluce, on the more elevated and rugged terrain.

Some archive images of our first clubhouse during and after construction. Today the clubhouse looks very different, as does the links our members enjoy, but it's nice to reflect on our humble beginnings and see how far we've come.

The par 3 6th on the Valley, where the nines have now been flipped to create a more dramatic finish to the round and to open up incredible views over the East Strand, the Arcadia building and the town of Portrush.

Graeme and his team have enjoyed a quieter winter of championship preparation, but have remained busy with projects on both courses ahead of the summer.

The 7th looks like it's always been part of the Dunluce, yet it's less than a decade old. Martin Ebert's design work on the new 7th and 8th strengthened the course for member and championship play, and set in motion the Valley course transformation.

From provincial and Open Championships to the Amateur Championship coming next summer, championship golf has defined our club since day one. Many of the club trophies displayed in this 1899 photo with the club council are still contested for today.

'Valley', the par 5 8th on our Valley links. While the course isn't named after this hole, or vice versa, it's easy to see the link. The Valley course sits below the Dunluce, in the valley of dunes between the beach and the ridge of Calamity Corner.

Gary, our Head Professional, shares what it means to welcome the R&A back to Portrush next year as The Amateur Championship returns to the Club.

The small dune that houses the Dunluce’s halfway hut is also a key part of Harry Colt’s routing, home to three greensites and three tee boxes. Colt’s genius wasn’t just in his bunkering and greens, but in repeatedly steering the course back to the most interesting land.

The @RandA Amateur Championship is coming back to Portrush. June 2027. Valley and Dunluce. We can't wait.
