Who do trust that gives whiskey opinions? Does it matter if the person has “Sponsors” getting oodles of free shit and expensive bottles one week and reviewing that sponsor’s stuff another? In the last 5 years the pickings have become very lean for whom I had counted on.

I look for the good in people. Sometimes I get hurt for it, but it's rare and it's worth it. You may hear me say optimistic things that sound naive. I'm not naive. I've read too much history to be naive. I just think love wins out over the darker parts of human nature in the end.

Harvested tobalá #agave, a wild species that has become very popular but which can take twice as long as espadín to mature and has a much smaller yield. There are some who worry about it's sustainability but are outnumbered by those who just care about the great taste.

And just to clarify the laws governing mixto tequila. If a tequila product bottled outside Mexico claims it's anything but mixto tequila 51% Agave 49% other sugars, they are completely bullshitting you :/
