Started buying $NBIS in Dec '2024. Naysayers will say this is "Inspect Element." Some people started thrown around PT's for $NBIS. It's too early to put a price on this gem. Agentic AI is lifting off. The Physical AI tsunami is next. HPC demand will achieve escape velocity.

How the hell did the city that experienced the biggest Islamic terrorist attack in history vote for a Muslim mayor?

For the record, I think Lupita Nyong’o is incredibly beautiful. I mean she has a nearly perfect face. The issue is that Helen of Troy was Greek and described as fair and Musk is almost certainly correct that Nolan changed her race to fulfill the new diversity standards the Academy requires. And we should whine about that. It’s death to art.

Elon Musk amplifies online whining about Christopher Nolan casting Lupita Nyong'o. Take a look: bit.ly/4dH5sDZ

We should federally tax Tokens at the Provider level. Not a lot. Less than 50c per million tokens. It will accomplish 4 things (at least ) 1. It will push the big AI players to optimize tokenization, caching , routing and localization Which will 2. Reduce energy usage. Saving them in energy costs more than what they paid in tax and reducing strain created by the growth in energy consumption Which will 3. Generate maybe 10 billion dollars a year to start, but over the next ten years could grow 30x to 100x Which will 4. Create a source of funding to pay down the federal debt or deploy, in response to the things AI brings that we don’t expect or don’t like At some point the models will pass it on to customers. Of course. That’s ok. Customers will have the ability to choose between providers. Or to do everything using open source models locally. Thoughts ?

Brad Gerstner’s Altimeter owns a piece of $NBIS Clickhouse. "If you're in the data infrastructure layer, then this token consumption is driving a lot more consumption of your basic services." Excited to see where Clickhouse reprices to over time.

The Chinese applied their tricks on Trump, giving him a smaller chair than the one the Chinese president sits on! The discomfort on Trump's face is obvious, as Xi appears to be a head taller!

I’m sorry. Every class of person you just described is retarded. Get out of SF and NYC. This social milieu you’re describing is literally just an environmentally induced hedonistic treadmill. Go travel a bit, get some perspective. So much more to life than ratcheting up to greater and greater levels of capital. My god this is so fucking sad.

The vibes in SF feel pretty frenetic right now. The divide in outcomes is the worst I've ever seen. Over the last 5yrs, a group of ~10k people - employees at Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Nvidia, Meta TBD, founders - have hit retirement wealth of well above $20M (back of the envelope AI estimation). Everyone outside that group feels like they can work their well-paying (but <$500k) job for their whole life and never get there. Worse yet, layoffs are in full swing. Many software engineers feel like their life's skill is no longer useful. The day to day role of most jobs has changed overnight with AI. As a result, 1. The corporate ladder looks like the wrong building to climb. Everyone's trying to align with a new set of career "paths": should I be a founder? Is it too late to join Anthropic / OpenAI? should I get into AI? what company stock will 10x next? People are demanding higher salaries and switching jobs more and more. 2. There’s a deep malaise about work (and its future). Why even work at all for “peanuts”? Will my job even exist in a few years? Many feel helpless. You hear the “permanent underclass” conversation a lot, esp from young people. It's hard to focus on doing good work when you think "man, if I joined Anthropic 2yrs ago, I could retire" 3. The mid to late middle managers feel paralyzed. Many have families and don't feel like they have the energy or network to just "start a company". They don't particularly have any AI skills. They see the writing on the wall: middle management is being hollowed out in many companies. 4. The rich aren’t particularly happy either. No one is shedding tears for them (and rightfully so). But those who have "made it" experience a profound lack of purpose too. Some have gone from <$150k to >$50M in a few years with no ramp. It flips your life plans upside down. For some, comparison is the thief of joy. For some, they escape to NYC to "live life". For others still, they start companies "just cuz", often to win status points. They never imagined that by age 30, they'd be set. I once asked a post-economic founder friend why they didn't just sell the co and they said "and do what? right now, everyone wants to talk to me. if i sell, I will only have money." I understand that many reading this scoff at the champagne problems of the valley. Society is warped in this tech bubble. What is often well-off anywhere else in the world is bang average here. Unlike many other places, tenure, intelligence and hard work can be loosely correlated with outcomes in the Bay. Living through a societally transformative gold rush in that environment can be paralyzing. "Am I in the right place? Should I move? Is there time still left? Am I gonna make it?" It psychologically torments many who have moved here in search of "success". Ironically, a frequent side effect of this torment is to spin up the very products making everyone rich in hopes that you too can vibecode your path to economic enlightenment.

$NBIS with PTs above its current market price just a few days after earnings. Once the rest update their models we will see them reiterating as well. $NBIS should be a hold and forget stock. I hold ~33% of my portfolio in $NBIS and have such a strong conviction that I don’t even need to follow earnings; I rather choose to. I know the execution will beat expectations in the long run. It might have risen a lot, but wouldn’t you have invested in $GOOG Cloud, $MSFT Azure or $AMZN AWS if these were available as seperate pureplay Cloud companies? $50B is nothing when you compare it to what it can become. It has been and continues to be a once in a life-time opportunity. This is the rebirth of Yandex but this time, their focus is singular and extremely purposeful. This is not financial advice, but rather a perspective that enhances: an entry could still be considered early; if you just zoomed out.

Wow with the Citi upgrade $NBIS is now at an average PT of $230.50 from the updated ratings: Citigroup: $287 Citizens JMP: $270 D.A Davidson : $250 Northland Securities: $248 BofA: $240 Goldman Sachs: $205 BWS Financial: $200 Morgan Stanley: $144 Of those that haven't updated, the average is $191.75: Arete Research: $291, last time was ~1 month after earnings BWS Financial: $200, last time was ~10 days after earnings Compass Point: $150, initiated ~6 days after last earnings Cantor Fitzgerald: $126, initiated >1 month after last earnings

Imagine it being able to buy AWS instead of $AMZN, which is bundled with your retail business. As a former $AMZN engineer, I can very clearly confirm that retail is a loss leader and cloud strength subsidizes a lot of it. From that perspective, $NBIS is the only true hyperscaler because it’s the only pure play based on that principle that’s not bundled with other stuff.
