There is no need to pretend that the same men (and a few women) who held Nigeria to ransom for years, presiding over stagnation, corruption, and systemic decay, can suddenly reinvent themselves as champions of progress or defenders of the people. Not all Nigerians are suffering from amnesia. For the avoidance of doubt, our revolutionary party, the African Action Congress (@aacparty ), will not be part of any charade designed to recycle failed political actors under the guise of “opposition.” Instead, we are committed to presenting a formidable, people-driven alternative, one rooted in integrity, accountability, and genuine transformation. The Nigerian Army @HQNigerianArmy has no legal basis to arrest and detain civilians and then secretly transfer them to another agency. Any such action violates due process and undermines the rule of law. The officer or officers responsible for carrying out such an unlawful arrest must be identified and held accountable under the law. Likewise, any personnel within the lawless @OfficialDSSNG or @PoliceNG who facilitated or attempted to conceal such actions must also be investigated and sanctioned accordingly. No institution or individual should operate above the law, and accountability must be enforced across all security agencies. CLARIFICATION ON THE ARREST OF JUSTICE MARK CHIDIEBERE (JUSTICE CRACK) The attention of the Nigerian Army was drawn to the complaint made by some soldiers regarding their feeding and other matters relating to their welfare as posted on social media by a blogger/social media influencer, Justice Mark Chidiebere (Justice Crack). While the matter is being investigated for breach of the Armed Forces’ Social Media Policy and an attempt to misinform the public, preliminary report reveals that the soldiers discussed wide range of issues with Justice Chidiebere who seemed to be inciting soldiers to create discontent within the system. An example was a chat bothering on subversion which Chidiebere had with the soldiers. It is important to state that a situation where civilians cultivate vulnerable personnel towards acts of subversion has far-reaching implications on discipline and national security. Hence, Justice Chidiebere was picked by the Nigerian Army alongside the soldiers for investigation. While the soldiers remain in own custody, Chidiebere has been handed over to the relevant civil authorities for further investigation and possible prosecution. The Nigerian Army remains committed to the rule of law and will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure justice is served. BREAKING: The Nigerian Army @HQNigerianArmy has effectively confirmed its involvement in the abduction of @Justice_Crack after his vehicle was traced directly to their premises at the CIC. In an apparent attempt to deflect responsibility, they subsequently enlisted the support of the lawless Department of State Services @OfficialDSSNG to take custody of him. However, that maneuver comes too late, the facts are already established. @Justice_Crack must be released immediately.

It is an UNHAPPY WORKERS’ DAY for Nigerian Workers! Today, on International Workers’ Day, we are reminded of the dignity of labour and the injustice that continues to define the lives of Nigerian workers. It is unacceptable that those who build this country through sweat and sacrifice are paid meagre wages, while political office holders award themselves outrageous salaries, allowances, and pensions, often without corresponding productivity!

Acts like this only deepen instability and erode democratic values. No political group is above accountability. If members or supporters of any party, especially the @ADCNig, engage in violence, they are no different from those they often criticize in the @OfficialAPCNg. The @HQNigerianArmy must immediately release Chidiebere Justice, also known as @JusticeCracks whose car was reportedly sighted at the offices of the Defence Intelligence Agency having been picked up by Brigadier General W.A.Adegoke. His only “offence” appears to be speaking out and raising alarm over the extrajudicial killing of a youth corps member and drawing attention to the conditions faced by soldiers on the frontlines. #FreeJusticeCracksNOW

We can all make a conscious and collective decision to reject a life defined by police abuse, tyranny, oppression, torture, and inhuman or degrading treatment.
