@BenMearns I believe that there is no simple reason for the current crisis. A&E are receiving too many patients who don't need to be there. External care is not helping to get people out of hospital beds to make space for critical needs. You are doing the best you can in spite of all this.

Most of the "agricultural" woodwork repairs in the garden completed. Why are we still picking kidney beans? the freezer is bulging.
