We’ve published our Strategic Plan for 2026-2029 today. It supports our vision that a trusted, skilled, confident and valued workforce delivers social work, social care and children and young people services.
Chief Executive, Maree Allison said, ‘Our Strategic Plan sets our direction for the next three years so it’s important that we included our key stakeholders in codesigning our future priorities.
‘Contributions from our National Stakeholder Advisory Forum, our annual registrant and stakeholder surveys and feedback from our first Have Your Say Workforce Wellbeing Survey have all helped to develop our strategic plan.
‘Our plan is shaped by what we heard, along with our statutory functions to support public protection, professional development of our registered workforce and championing the vital role of the social work, social care and children and young people workforce.’

The framework provides one national development framework for social work education and learning from starting university to retirement.
