Note: should be "change in rates". The ABSOLUTE rates went down, but there was no discontinuity we can attribute to seatbelts. Seatbelts change behaviors. People can drive faster, be distracted, etc. because they think they have a safety harness allowing them to do that. It's likely they had a positive benefit, but it's no where near the isolated are people who wear seatbelts more likely to survive a crash.

@thereal_truther @DrNeilStone if you wear a seatbelt, there is no doubt you'll have much higher survival than without one. But you can view that in isolation and when you view the whole picture, it's harder to pin down. they likely did save lives net net but it's smaller than people think.

@thereal_truther They are so fucken proud to be stupid. So Steve you idiot. Seatbelts reduce secondary impacts with hard surfaces. This significantly reduces gross secondary trauma. Do you have any fucking idea why they come to exist in the first place Steve? 🤔 No. No you don't.

NY Take Action Gov. Hochul’s Power Grab would give her Complete Control over Newborn Vaccine Schedule Gov. Hochul’s new vaccine power grab bill A10711 (Paulin-D)/S9598 (Stavisky-D) is even worse than we originally thought. The bill will give complete control over the vaccine schedule for “newborns” to the Governor and her appointees with no oversight from the legislature, federal agencies, or anybody else. Section 8 of the bill will give the New York State Commissioner of Health, who answers to the Governor, the power to create the vaccine schedule for “newborns” with no oversight from any the medical or governing institutions. The vaccines selected under A10711/S9598 will not have to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices, or by any other federal agency, The bill allows the governor to make these decisions solely on her own authority. Technically, the Governor will not be able to mandate shots, but the birth hepatitis b shot or vitamin k are not mandated by law. Yet immense pressure is placed on parents to give newborns these products, and medical personnel frequently inaccurately tell parents they are required by law. These products are “required” by standards of care and regulations, which are not binding on parents, that are created by the Governor and her appointees. Hochul is just expecting us to blindly trust her to do the right thing. Given the immense profitability of vaccines, the room for corruption is obvious. The stated intent of A10771/S9598 is to block the recent reforms of vaccine policy announced by the federal government. But A10771/S9598 goes far beyond that creating a new vaccine regime controlled by the Governor and unanswerable to any oversight entities. TAKE ACTION (link below in comments)

You talk like the vaccine is just sitting there like a machine generating antigen That’s not how it works — there is a fixed amount of non replicating mRNA encased in LNP that goes into cytoplasm of a cell and creates the protein and then the immune system generates an immune response to it — and many of those cells are removed. The mRNA in the cytoplasm does not translate proteins indefinitely There is no fixed machine sitting there churning out protein that needs to be “turned off”

The mRNA vaccines have an instruction to produce the antigen. But there is NO instruction to STOP. Why? They assumed mRNA would disintegrate in 48 hours. Not true.

@DrNeilStone NO KNEE. The vaccine didn't do anything. We had a knee when the variants all died off. Vaccine did not make a DENT. Claiming that the virus got 10x more deadly and exactly matched each variant is EASILY falsified. You can't explain no knee.

The vaccine was the greatest achievement of Pres Trump’s 1st admin, but HHS Sec Kennedy has alleged that it’s the deadliest vaccine ever made. The president should brag about this endlessly.
