The NHS is asking patients to choose services appropriately during resident doctors' industrial action. This includes using 111 online as the first port of call for health needs, and only using 999 if it is a life-threatening emergency.

Our Clinical Team of the Year is the Lung Cancer Screening Programme. The programme has completed over 4,000 scans, detecting 100 suspected lung cancers. The early diagnosis will improve patient outcomes #SWBSA25

Our Non-Clinical Team of the Year is the Decommissioning Team. Their work has seen them support over 150 teams move from Sandwell and City Hospitals to the Midland Met. Congratulations to the small but mighty team! #SWBSA25

Well done to Jayne Dunn, Director of Commissioning and Equipping who has won the Outstanding Contribution to Midland Met. She’s played a leading role in the planning to move into the Midland Met. #SWBSA25

The special Patient’s Choice Award goes to Critical Care. The team were nominated by the family of a patient who sadly passed away last year, who commended them for the care & compassion they showed to the patient and her family members. #SWBSA25

The Midland Met Clinical Excellence Award winners are our brilliant Frailty Intervention Team. They work within the Same Day Emergency Care service caring for some of our most vulnerable patients. #SWBSA25

The Midland Met Change Maker Award goes to Ian Oliver, Head of Soft Facilities Management. He’s led ward services, portering, security and catering in the lead up to the opening of the Midland Met with true dedication and compassion. #SWBSA25
