Last week, Sacramento State honored Congresswoman @DorisMatsui and philanthropist Roger Sant for their generosity and commitment to civic engagement at the Robert S. Nelsen Civic Engagement Grant Awards Luncheon. 🙌 Thanks to their $1 million endowment, the grant continues to fuel partnerships between the University and the region. Nelsen Civic Engagement Grant Awards Luncheon today. 🐝🙌 The grant, supported by a $1 million endowment from Matsui and Sant in 2023, not only funds current projects but also sustains future grants, advancing meaningful partnerships between the University and the greater Sacramento region. These efforts support collaborations among students, faculty, staff, and community organizations to address real-world challenges. Campus update: Instructure has restored Canvas services, and the platform is now back online. We anticipate access will be fully restored no later than early this afternoon. Sacramento State is carefully balancing the need to protect campus systems and data with the importance of restoring access to critical academic resources during the end of the semester. Campus update: Canvas is experiencing a widespread global and nationwide cyber-security incident, impacting campuses worldwide, including the CSU and Sac State. We are working diligently to gather more information and get systems restored. We have instructed the Sac State team to activate our business continuity plan to help mitigate any disruption. The situation is fluid, and we are working with Instructure to determine the full scope of impact and will provide updates as soon as they are available. There is currently no estimated timeframe for resolution.
