@AnthonyDabbundo Not to mention Bruno setting the assist record with 11 of them coming from set pieces.

What will I remember most from the Premier League season? A thread. 1. The Year of the Set Piece This isn’t just Arsenal, who have become the posterchild for this. The maximization of set pieces up and down the table led to significant decreases of ball in play time, open play xG creation, and a sloggish pace to so many more matches. The league was less compelling to watch as a result. You can’t blame the teams for acting optimally and finding edges, but you can blame rules/officials for letting it get this far.

@Michael_Cerami Hoping Dansby and Happ get a couple days off and Seiya moves down the order a bit.

With the lingering offensive funk, the manager hinting at lineup changes, and not one (Pedro Ramirez), but TWO (Kevin Alcantara) of the Cubs top prospects arriving in Chicago in the last 24 hours, this has to be one of the more anticipated Cubs lineups of the season.

"We've got a really great group, really experienced group. We'll come out the other side of it." Ian Happ is confident the Cubs will turn things around.

@Peter_Bukowski The lions have basically lit draft picks on fire since the third round of 2023. This is the most top-heavy they've been in this window and least suited to handle injuries. And they haven't exactly proven they can stay healthy.

The thing I don't understand around the Lions being favored over the Packers in the North is Green Bay was clearly better last year and had the injury excuse too. Detroit has an easier schedule we THINK, but are they better than GB? No.

@tylernipper2792 @Peter_Bukowski I’m not siding with anyone. The Packers offense was awesome last year without a good line and without a running game. The Packers won because of Love and that’s not something we can say about Caleb yet.

@Sam_Winks @Peter_Bukowski Why side with them then?😂😂 I wasn’t dunking on Love it was more of a, how are you going to let Packers fans crap on Caleb when Love didn’t didn’t do a single thing in the league 2 years in😂😂 both will be great QBs, Pete just has to constantly glaze Love for winning nothing

@Sam_Winks @Peter_Bukowski All I’m saying is, you guys are dunking on a QB who won a playoff while your QB didn’t even take snaps until year 3 and truly Start until year 4. Why bring down one QB without being objective with where he is in his career. I think Love is a Franchise QB, I think Caleb is as well

@Peter_Bukowski That was Kyler’s second best full season. Caleb left a lot of meat on the bone and anyone whose objective would say he had a lot of highlights but didn’t have a top 15 qb season. Time will tell, but I feel pretty confident that Caleb will surpass the Kyler line.

@Sam_Winks The thing is, it’s not that Kyler IS better. Sure the health matters. But the fact a mediocre Kyler season is better statistically than Caleb’s “star” season seems relevant

@Sam_Winks Turns out the Packers are -102 on the ML for that game. Coin flip.

These lines don't quite add up. Packers are -1.5 @ Minnesota Bears are +1.5 in Minnesota Packers are -3 vs. Bears I know the transitive property doesn't exist in the NFL, but that math doesn't math.
Adam Hoge@AdamHoge

For all the talk about the #Bears' hard schedule, they are only underdogs in 5 games on the early lines: at GB +3 at SEA +4.5 at DET +2.5 at BUF +3.5 at MIN +1.5 They do have 4 home games as only -1.5 favorites though: PHI, NE, GB, DET.

Arsenal are the favourites for the title still. But now Manchester City don’t need Arsenal to lose vs. West Ham. They can draw. They’ve made up the GD. What a victory.

Interesting that Dennis Allen mentioned that Dayo Odeyingbo may be best rushing the passer from inside as a DT on passing downs. That likely makes their top pass-rush line as: DE Montez Sweat DT Dayo Odeyingbo DT Grady Jarrett DE Austin Booker #DaBears

Bears seem to be going all in on "Dennis Allen is our competitive advantage on defense" and that's fine but if they stink again you have to fire him. None of this "he doesn't have his guys" shit they're explicitly saying he's got his guys and needs to coach em up
