@Sam__SFC You've made a very good point and you still get your fans disagreeing. If he's got something's very in-depth and broke down how it's done and what you did in a game due to it, it could be very serious. If you sacked him as he didn't Wana spy he's no doubt got some proof

I'm not a legal expert but I don't think Saints are going to be able to dismiss the whistleblower's statement with "he got sacked so he's just being salty." That's not the mic drop some fans seem to think it is #SaintsFC

@labay88 @FrankyLopez43 He can submit his word but I too would be surprised. Unless he can say something like "x intern spied on y team on z date" which you would think wouldn't be hard to prove with cctv, Saints accounting for whereabouts etc

@Sam__SFC @FrankyLopez43 He would need proof such as emails/ messages asking him to go to so and so training ground etc? Wouldn't just be able to use his word, i wouldn't of thought anyway.

@boroliam1 I think if it's a repeat offence matters for us but for him, if he's found to have instigated and pushed for it even once he won't be here next year I'm pretty sure. We will fight tooth and nail for him to be our manager up until 7pm on the 23rd May, but beyond that...

@boroliam1 Yeah Eckert is in trouble. I suspect if we do get to play the final it'll be his last game. DId he just know, or was he the chief instigator is the quesiton. If he can claim to have been told after the fact he *might* get away with it, but I doubt it

@boroliam1 Details come out with the decision I believe but the EFL and Saints will learn the decision in advance so the outcome will be leaked first - unless appeals are confidential for some reason. If the appeal was confidential we'd know the decision wouldn't involve expulsion

@Sam__SFC Yeah I agree, seems systematic, be interesting to see the outcome, can’t see it being tomorrow, Monday possibly, outcome then details a few days later I think

@boroliam1 I don't know the answer. Presumably we will point out he didn't come out with this when sacked in December, so why now?

@boroliam1 By all accounts the evidence is a statement so doubt it. Will be fascinating to find out what it says, whatever the outcome I'm sure the details of the decision will be poured over in excruciating detail. Is there any evidence at all? Is it just a question of believing him?

@boroliam1 Nor had anyone else but like Salt his linkedin has been deleted, seems pretty clear it's him. Saints aren't 100% sure he won't screw them, EFL are using him to pursue expulsion we think. For what it's worth I think it's been repeated most likely, but can it be proven?

@boroliam1 He was a 'first team set piece analyst' here. Who knows what that evidence includes, interesting he's submitting written evidence only. Who knows what it says, but I think 'why are you coming out with this now' is a fair question which presumably can't be asked.

@boroliam1 Even if we could pull off a lone wolf defence we'd still be guilty it'd just be an extremely lenient punishment. Whistleblower is widely understood to be a guy called Jason Taylor, not sure what his position was at Boro but he left you for Saints in October

@boroliam1 If we've gone up I think that will mean we haven't been found to have spied on anyone else, as imo proof of that would result in expulsion. But you're right, if we were found to have done that, those teams could pursue. Do Wrexham have a case as well? Derby? Millwall? Oxford?

@boroliam1 I don't think Saints have ever intended to claim they're not guilty of the charge. Some of the allegations made in the media and we're led to believe possibly suggested by Boro in the case they will dispute, but the actual charge of filming we have no choice but to admit

@boroliam1 If we got kicked out, or lost to Hull, half our team got sold and we started next year on a heavy deduction, it's going to be insanely toxic and that will be very funny from a Boro perspective

@boroliam1 You'll make lots of noise I'm sure but I don't know how much we'll care. Can't hold the media attention forever, no matter what league we're playing next season there'll be a big inquest for SR when we know and calls for blood but if we've gone up fans will forgive them

@boroliam1 Boro will come at us and the EFL I'm sure, my understanding is you are not allowed to sue us but you can go for arbitration via the EFL. We'd do a settlement but I'm not sure Gibson is actually interested in anything other than trying to burn us

@Sam__SFC I agree, think the statement today is on the back of that, the key is the end line, this could go on and on legally , the EFL should of put the outcome in when they put the rules in, but they didn’t 🙄

@boroliam1 Saints have all but said they won't contest the charge, only some claims about the extent of it. We've never denied we did it

@Sam__SFC We have leaked previously, to what extent of validity I don’t know, you have been tight lipped, which surprises me, if it wasn’t true just come out and say that, silence is deafening

@boroliam1 If we're found to have done it all season it'll be worse than this, but I think if it's limited to this incident we're looking at a fine and points deduction. I suspect whatever happens the rules will be tweaked to have a punishment this Summer

@Sam__SFC My thoughts are, there has clearly been spying, rules were put in place after Leeds, the question what fo the EFL do to prevent it? If it’s not a deterrent and the punishment is say 500k fine, there will be drones all over training grounds because it’s worth gamble of promotion.

@boroliam1 I think it's pretty clear from reading their articles the NE journos have been briefed by the club. There's nothing wrong with that but there's nobody else who'd feed them that information. Saints bizarrely tight lipped - implication to journos was they think we'll be playing

@Sam__SFC The only statement Boro have put out is today, there has been rumours I’ve heard which aren’t true, voice recordings I’ve heard from both sides, “I know this person who said” all nonsense

@boroliam1 Look no serious Saints fan thinks we should get away with this scot free. But if all that is proven is the incident on Thursday kicking us out would be ridiculous. Obviously it's impossible for me t be objective but I'd think really a deduction would need proof of conspiracy
