⚡️We have successfully completed the turnkey GIS scope of the Verbena NGCCPP facility owned by ENKA Kırklareli Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. The system was commissioned with the successful integration of Hamitabat NGCCPP and Alibeyköy Substation connections. All engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning processes, including SCADA and communication systems, were carried out by our team. Over the past week, we took part in two key moments in the @CelticNext @EUREKA_NETWORK community that helped sharpen our project idea, orchAstra. First, we joined the Celtic Next Proposers Brokerage Day In Vienna, hosted by the FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency and @6G_SNS_IA 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association. It was a valuable opportunity to hear strong ideas in next generation telecoms and explore what comes beyond 6G. Then we hosted our consortium-building session and pitched orchAstra, a mission-agnostic, software-defined space-to-terrestrial network layer. It turns satellites into cooperative, programmable network nodes, safely orchestrated at the system level. Built on top of existing satcom systems, orchAstra focuses on orchestration and coordination across multi-orbit architectures. Now we are expanding the consortium. 2025 was the kind of year where our calendar needed mission control. 🚀 We waved off 12 Connecta satellites, accelerated our path toward the Observa constellation, and expanded our global service footprint with new authorizations in Türkiye, Australia, Sweden and Denmark. On the ground, we leveled up operations with a new ground station in Sweden, delivered 1,000+ Connecta IoT Modems into real-world deployments, and stayed out front by showing up at major events; speaking, sharing lessons learned, and turning handshakes into real connections. Tailor Made Energy Storage System with Hybrid Cooling Architecture Pomega has delivered a first of its kind, EU funded energy storage system engineered specifically to meet the technical requirements of Elektrometal. Designed and executed as a tailor-made project, the system integrates both Liquid-Cooled and Air-Cooled technologies within a single ESS to address customer defined operational conditions. The liquid-cooled section is supported by a dedicated chiller, while the air-cooled module incorporates an integrated AC unit together providing stable and efficient thermal performance across diverse load profiles and environmental conditions. A unified control logic coordinates cooling management, safety interlocks and BMS functions, ensuring robust thermal safety through active monitoring and protective operating limits. Behind the Scenes of a Tailor-Made Hybrid Energy Storage System ⚡️ This week, we interviewed Pomega PMO Manager Engin Oruç about one of our latest engineered solutions: a 700 kW air-cooled hybrid energy storage system designed for off-grid operation in extreme 55°C conditions. This tailor-made solution was engineered by Pomega as part of a wider project delivered by Kontrolmatik Technologies, who is leading the overall system integration and project scope. From CFD-based thermal design to redundancy architecture, hybrid inverter configuration and long-duration autonomy planning, this project demonstrates how we engineer reliable power where the grid cannot reach. Engin shared insights on: • Why the system operates as two independent 350 kW units • How hybrid inverters manage solar, battery and generator inputs • Cooling strategy and thermal management for high-temperature environments • The role of AC/DC panels in safe and flexible field operations This solution will soon be deployed to a construction site in Iraq to ensure uninterrupted, fuel-efficient and sustainable power, powered primarily by solar energy and supported by intelligent hybrid control. We’re pleased to announce that the Connecta IoT Network has been formally included in the Executive Order on the Use of Radio Frequencies Without a Permit issued by the Danish Digital Agency. This decision enables our LoRaWAN-based satellite IoT services in the 862–870 MHz band in Denmark. With this step, Denmark becomes the first country in Europe to explicitly enable satellite-IoT communications in SRD bands and anchor them directly in national regulation. Under the updated framework, the Connecta IoT Network is permitted to operate low-power radio equipment communicating with satellites (LPD-S / satellite IoT) on a licence-exempt basis in Denmark. This forward-looking move positions Denmark as a frontrunner in next-generation satellite IoT connectivity and sets an important precedent for other administrations as we continue to advance accessible, standards-aligned IoT connectivity worldwide.
