Crime across New York is up 26% under Letitia James, and now, according to the new Siena Poll, New Yorkers are looking for a new Attorney General. On the question of whether voters want another term of Letitia James or someone else as Attorney General, James is in a statistical tie, leading just 43%-41%. Notably, James loses with Independents 26%-52%. Additionally, 53% of New Yorkers believe the state is going in the wrong direction on reducing crime, compared to just 38% who think we are on the right track. Isabelle Daigle, Saritha Komatireddy’s campaign manager said “ New Yorkers deserve an Attorney General who is focused on New York and focused on our safety, and they are not getting that right now. Saritha is prosecuting the political case against Letitia James and this poll shows that she is on track to win in November.”

New York got $3 billion in opioid settlement money. And the AG decides how to use it. So why is it going to tasers, virtual reality headsets, and a baby shower? With $3 billion, we could provide free in-patient drug treatment to every New Yorker who needs it. As Attorney General, that’s what I’ll do.

Attended the Madison County Law Day today, and saw this poster from local students. Their simple, honest perspectives on freedom and America are a good reminder of what matters—and why we do this work.

Freeze the AG's budget. The budget has increased $149M since 2019, even though crime, homelessness, and fraud are up. The office doesn't need more money; it needs new leadership.

A man thrown onto the platform. Another rider beaten and robbed. This is what “status quo” looks like in New York’s transit system. We just laid out real solutions to restore safety in the subway. Now we need an Attorney General who will do it.
