A motorcyclist saw this young lady pushing her hike up this steep bridge. He tried to help her out by offering to follow her, he knows how dangerous it can be for bikes. Shortly after, the police spot her on the bridge and arrest her for pushing her bike on the bridge. I know the bridge says no bike riders but does the rules apply to people pushing them too?

@MCCCANM Does that airline have ferry flight numbers? I know the ones I work with ABX, ATI, and Sun Country typically number ferries differently than revenue flights, such as ATI 67xx or such.

An unloaded airliner, light on fuel, will climb like a “homesick angel” (insert favorite euphemism here). That they requested an “unrestricted climb” heavily hints this was a ferry flight (empty). LAX to SFO doesn’t need much fuel…5,000 fpm climb or more is doable!

A PSA for the busy travel season: Airline “Departure Time” is *NOT* the time the boarding doors will close. Do *NOT* plan to show up 10 minutes before to departure time! Departure time is the time the aircraft is scheduled to push back from the gate. To do that, doors will close 10-15 minutes before departure time…sometimes earlier. You should be in the boarding area about 45 minutes before departure time. Check your tickets; most say “Estimated Boarding Begins” and “Estimated Boarding Ends”. The key term is “Estimated”. If everybody in the boarding area is aboard, but we’re waiting on two people…we’ll page you. We’ll make a “Final Boarding Call”. We’ll wait a few more minutes. In case of tight connections, we might give you extra time & just swallow the delay, as it’s not your fault…but it won’t be by much. We can tell who connected via our airline. If you built your own connection between 2 different airlines, you’re out of luck there. If you didn’t connect & were just screwing around in the bar or something….sorry. Even if you run up to the window at the gate & throw your hat against the glass & wave your arms at me 5 or 10 minutes prior to departure…not happening. Yeah, you. I saw you. It’s not fair to the rest of the passengers who finished boarding 15 minutes ago & have been patiently waiting for you. To put the jetway back up to the jet, disarm the doors & open them back up is going to make us even later. This is not airline specific. The same applies everywhere, to includes busses, trains & ships, etc.. Miss your flight in this fashion & the airline owes you nothing. It’s a cruel world, I know. Be in the boarding area when boarding begins. Thank you.
