Envisioned by Sadhguru nearly three decades ago, this movement enables farmers to transition to tree-based agriculture. This improves soil fertility, increases water retention.
Till date, Cauvery Calling has supported over 239,838 farmers

LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN 🌏
Restoring the sacred Rivers of Bharat to their rightful glory & abundance is the first step towards re-creating a prosperous and peaceful Nation. Water & vegetation cannot be separated - there cannot be one without the other. It is wonderful that Uttar Pradesh is leading the way with focused Action to restore our Rivers. Congratulations & best wishes to everyone involved in this mission. This must be replicated across Bharat. Let’s make it happen. -Sg @narendramodi@myogiadityanath@smcgup@rallyforrivers
Mother Cauvery has overflowed, after 94 years. Let that sink in. When we revive our rivers, we don’t just bring back water, we bring back life, fertility, culture, memory. This is the story of a river reborn. This is the story of Cauvery Calling.
Just as every strong tree begins as a tender shoot, large-scale transformation starts with the right foundation. That’s why Cauvery Calling nurtures over 10 million high-quality organic saplings in-house each year.
Cauvery Calling has demonstrably improved the lives of farmers by promoting a shift towards profitable and sustainable tree-based agriculture. Adopting tree-based agriculture has the potential to boost a farmer's average yearly earnings by 3 to 8 times in 5 to 7 years.
Each timber tree is expected to generate an average of ₹10,000 over 15 years, unlocking a green economy worth billions. This translates to long-term financial security and improved livelihoods for farming families.

We don’t need a crystal ball to see the future — even scientists say we’ve got just 60 years of soil left before it turns to infertile sand.

Earth's Greatest Ally is Slipping Away
Nature's most powerful climate solution stands at a critical crossroads. Soil - Earth's largest carbon sink after our oceans - is losing its ability to hold both water and carbon. With 52% of agricultural soil already degraded, we risk turning our greatest ally against us.
By implementing policies to maintain 3-6% soil organic matter (based on regional conditions), we can ensure soil remains a carbon sink rather than becoming a carbon source.

Our focus must shift from short-term water management to establishing long-term water security. For this, we need policy-based initiatives to Save Soil. In scale and efficiency of storing water and replenishing groundwater, healthy soil has no parallel. Bharat has the opportunity to present a demonstrable model to the tropical world that limited land and high population density are not a hindrance to becoming water abundant when our soil is rich and fertile. Save Soil = Save Water. Let’s make it happen. -Sg @cpsavesoilindianexpress.com/article/opinio…
Can we protect soil without national policies?
On World Desertification and Drought Day, experts from Bharat, the Mediterranean, and Kazakhstan gathered to spotlight a missing link in our fight against land degradation—comprehensive and enforceable soil policies.
📢 Prof. Anil Kumar Singh warned of Bharat's shrinking fertile land and urged a national soil policy to safeguard food security.
🌍 Prof. Claudio Zucca emphasized treating soil data as foundational—essential for designing effective, science-backed policies.
📊 Mr. Alisher Baiseitov showcased Kazakhstan’s unified soil law in progress, built through collaboration and citizen-centric reform.
Their message is urgent: Soil health is too vital to leave ungoverned. Policies must not just exist—but work in practice.
