Linda Richardson is the woman who changed how the world sells. She is one of our #SalesDecadesProject honorees. In 1978, she founded Richardson Sales Performance, a global sales performance company, on a radical idea: that salespeople should lead with the customer's needs, not their product pitch. That idea became Consultative Selling, the methodology that reshaped the profession and is practiced by hundreds of thousands of professionals worldwide. An educational psychologist who began her career as an English teacher, Linda brought academic rigor to a field that rarely had it. She authored multiple books on selling and management, including two New York Times bestseller, and taught at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2010, she was inducted into the inaugural Top Sales Hall of Fame. She is, as her peers say, the genuine article. Her new book on emotional intelligence, human selling, and AI will be published by John Wiley shortly. #seeitbeit
