Tracey Towers tenants are urging City Council members to strengthen oversight of Mitchell-Lama housing after they were hit with a proposed 30% rent increase that residents say follows years of deteriorating conditions and deferred maintenance. bxtimes.com/tracey-towers-…

This is tough. The out year spending limit is crazy low ... functionally nothing. It really needs to be adjusted or we will continue to see incumbents opt out. (h/t to @scottmstringer who raised this to me 8 years ago when we were increasing the match, should have fixed it then)

I specifically want to thank @JeannineKiely, who has done and will do so much incredible work for our community. I have enormous respect for her work and for her as a human being. The district is lucky to have her, and I am honored to have been able to run in this race with her.

Lillian Roberts was a true pioneer in NY’s labor movement. She broke new ground as @NYSLabor Commissioner, built a stronger @DC37nyc and helped to found the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. Through it all, she understood the value of public service. I mourn her passing and send condolences to her family, friends and colleagues in labor. Rest in Power, Lillian.

The college savings account program I helped launch has already served more than 340,000 students with $100 investments. Yesterday, the City Council expanded the @NYCKidsRISE program TENFOLD — with a $1,000 investment for every public school kindergartner. Big win for our kids! Big win for NYC's future!

Thank you @NYCCouncil @SpeakerMenin @JimGennaro @CMLindaLee @CMAlexaAviles @ChrisMarteNYC for your tireless advocacy on the Heat Pumps for All campaign! The $2M is an important 1st step in helping single & double family homeowners tackle living costs & address carbon reductions.

How are you feeling, @scottmstringer?

@scottmstringer Believe me none are on trust funds, but in reality are hard working NYers. Why can’t you recognize that? Simple: you’re a nepo-baby, born into politics, was handed every opportunity to succeed without any effort and that’s why YOU assume hard work = trust fund. GTFO
