Today I had the joy of welcoming two of my grandchildren to my office in the Texas Capitol. I shared with them the history of the office and my responsibilities as Texas's Chief International Protocol Officer while they served as pages for the day.

While in Eagle Pass for the Border Trade Advisory Committee meeting, Secretary of State Jane Nelson toured the Camino Real International Bridge. The international bridges along our border connect Texas with Mexico and are essential for healthy border protection and commerce.
