The breach in the #NovaKakhovka dam is flooding minefields and dislodging #landmines in #Ukraine. In an area where HALO cleared 5,000 mines last month.

These mines in Rtiikiwka village, Ukraine, are typical of what we’re finding in the country. With support from @NorwayMFA and others, we are making the land safe again to farm and enjoy.

We recently ran a joint Ethiopia/Somaliland course for IMAS EOD 1 in Hargeisa. The course was for 10 people and all 10 candidates passed successfully, as you can see from their celebrations!

Last week, 8 children lost their lives due to unexploded ordinance in #Afghanistan. They lost their lives playing with unexploded ordnance & collecting metal scraps to sell. UNICEF offers heartfelt condolences to the children's families and friends.

For exactly 20 years HALO's #SriLankan staff have been making their country safe. This week they celebrated achievements you can see from the sky. They have cleared the equivalent of 6,700 cricket fields of land and destroyed 270,000 mines so that 280,000 people could go home.

In #SriLanka HALO has been celebrating 20 years of making their land safe with games and prizes. Programme manager Stephen Hall said: "I am humbled that so many of our staff have been with HALO since the start, working tirelessly to make their communities safe.” #MineFreeWorld
