The Wisconsin DOJ called them volunteers. However, they were paid $90,000 by Bloomberg’s foundation for their services. Working inside the DOJ. Prosecuting Wisconsinites. That is not a volunteer. That is a problem.

It was great to give a short speech ahead of the Scouting Report to the State. We had the opportunity to hear from Scouts representing all seven Scouting councils in Wisconsin. It was inspiring to see the leadership, service, and dedication they bring to their communities. Thank you to all the Scouts who shared their stories and for the positive impact you’re making across our state.

This past weekend, I had the honor to speak to the Hmong Lao Veterans and Hmong community as a whole in Mosinee. There have been concerns about ICE and how ICE impacts the Hmong community. Along with Sheriff Billeb of Marathon County and @RepSnyder85, we spoke with members of the community to ease their concerns. As I told my fellow Americans in attendance, it is illegal aliens that ICE is concerned with.

Last Friday, @RepHurd , @RepSnyder85 , and I had a great meeting with CESA 9 at the Legislative Coffee & Conversation event with area school superintendents. These conversations help us learn what issues are affecting our local schools.

Governor Evers’ last State of the State: lots of spin, no relief. Republicans proposed surplus rebate checks and Governor Evers rejected them. His 400-year property tax hike will be his legacy. Soon WI chooses: become Minnesota or lead the Midwest.

Yesterday on the Senate floor, I spoke in support of AB 104. Children deserve special protections as they grow and mature, and this bill is about putting their long-term well-being first.

It’s Groundhog Day! Unfortunately for Wisconsinites, Tony Evers saw his shadow this morning which means 399 more years of soaring property taxes thanks to the 400-year veto. After the largest property tax increase in 30 years, it’s time to break the cycle.

After getting a massive bailout through Act 12, Legislative Democrats are now pushing Senate Bill 761 to keep the money and erase the taxpayer protections that came with it. That’s your classic Democrat bait-and-switch.

Surplus? Great! Veterans are a priority for Wisconsin! That’s why it’s so frustrating to see Governor Evers ask for more taxpayer dollars to reopen veteran two shelters his administration closed. Wisconsin deserves better.

More proof Legislative Democrats are out of step with Wisconsinites. All Senate Democrats voted AGAINST this resolution. AJR 10 would add a constitutional protection so the state or a political subdivision cannot order a place of worship closed. Wisconsin voters deserve a say: after today's action, we're one step closer to putting this constitutional amendment on the ballot. After all, Wisconsin voters already approved this once.
