That exchange rate alone doesn't mean anything. Two years ago, the minimum wage was €300; now it's €600-700.
The graph, however, says the opposite. When evaluating a country's economy, the exchange rate alone doesn't tell the whole story.
By the way, I'm not claiming that the Turkish economy is doing well; it's bad. I'm just trying to point out the flawed perspective you're taking.
I've included a EUR/Gold graph below. According to this graph, the EU is collapsing. Paper currency of Europe losing values against real money. Only an idiot would make such a comment.

No. As a Turk, I don’t want to join the EU, but we should strengthen relations and expand trade. The EU has long been Turkey’s largest trading partner and will likely remain so. What I support is a free trade agreement and visa-free travel with the EU. This would benefit both sides. Turkey has strong construction, IT, and industrial companies with a large workforce, but limited access to capital. As a country, it is already well integrated with Europe in terms of infrastructure, business practices, taxation, corporate law etc. Projects that might normally take six years could be completed in six months, with high-quality workmanship. Concerns about mass migration are exaggerated. Turkey’s population is not growing anymore, and any initial movement after visa liberalization would likely stabilize within a few months. We are already part of NATO alongside many EU countries, so we effectively share a defense framework we dont't need extra integration on this part.
