@DerrickEvans4WV Clearly @DerrickEvans4WV doesn’t understand the difference between direct and indirect costs. It’s not a skim. If you write a budget for $100 the researcher gets $100 and the university gets an additional $60 to support the infrastructure for the research.

“If you're an NIH researcher & you get a $100 grant at your university today, you get to spend $60 of that & your university spends $40 of that” 40% of this NIH grant money goes to Universities, NOT to actual research.
