I can work in my own time in my own space, but it takes a certain magic to sing with someone and being in the room is preferred to meet eye to eye... however, I closed my eyes and did take after take and sent him a few ideas and I let him roll with whatever he preferred -

This summer after returning from tour, I was ready to take a breath and focus on family - but then an email appeared in my inbox from legendary Eric Bachmann of Archers of Loaf, Crooked Fingers.

It's always sad to play the last shows of the year, but it feels so good to be home with my family and to remind myself to be grounded and present as much as I can... Stay tuned for more memories as I give myself some more time to reflect.

So much to reflect upon, returning from the other side of the world. Meeting so many amazing people, getting turned on to new music, making new friends in far off places is both a blessing and a curse.

I had an amazing time in Christchurch!!! Got to go to Grizzly Coffee, the Botanical Gardens, the art museum (where I saw Jennifer Randall’s amazing art!) and Plume. Had a lovely dinner at Little High Eatery and reconnected with author Rachael King after the show. Beautiful city.

Helped me feel less off kilter. Also, highlight so far is reuniting with Matthew Crawley who looks after us while we are here. Always comforting to catch up with a long distance friend who opens new doors to new music and new places.

Wellington We ended our Australia leg and began our New Zealand run in Wellington, returning to The Opera House to share the stage with Shannon Lay! What a beautiful, timeless voice...
