Invented by computer scientist Joseph Weizenbaum the world’s 1st ChatBot named ‘ELIZA’, after the character Eliza Doolittle from #BernardShaw’s #Pygmalion. Considered the precursor to modern AI ‘ELIZA’ raised ethical issues as it created the illusion of empathy & understanding

Although best known as Private Godfrey in ‘Dad’s Army’ Arnold Ridley was a playwright, he wrote over 30 plays including ‘The Ghost Train’. Invalided out of WW1 as a lance-corporal due to his wounds, he later served in WW2 as a captain & later in the home guard.

@DadsArmyFans hey guys. We are taking this brilliant play (based on Arnold Ridley’s memoirs and written by his son, Nic) to The Mission Theatre in Bath 19th-21st March. Would love a retweet is possible?

Dramatist, critic & Nobel Prize winner George Bernard Shaw (pic) wrote the following words in Man & Superman (1905): “Old men are dangerous: it doesn’t matter to them what is going to happen to the world.” His words were wise then & it’s very clear that they’re even wiser now.

Rodin’s ‘The Thinker’ in the @burrellcollect and Alvin Langdon Coburn’s photograph of Bernard Shaw posing as ‘The Thinker’. Both Rodin and Coburn were friends of Shaw. The photograph was never shown in Shaw's lifetime. It shows his mischievous sense of humour
