Had the privilege to speak at the "South Zone Regional Conference on Advancing Rule of Law through Technology" on the subject of “Liability of Intermediaries – Law Enforcement Perspective organised by the Hon’ble High Court of Telangana in collaboration with the national judicial academy, Bhopal and the Telangana state judicial academy The conference was attended by distinguished judges and judicial officers from all the Southern States The session, chaired by Hon’ble Justice J. K. Maheshwari (Supreme Court) and Hon’ble Justice Atul Sreedharan (Allahabad HC), deliberated on the emerging challenges in the digital ecosystem. I spoke about the liabilities of the intermediaries from the LEA ‘s perspective stressing upon the need for greater accountability from the intermediaries and exercise of due diligence by them Also focussed on the Safe Harbour clause which is often resorted to by the intermediaries to avoid sharing of information and taking prompt steps to take down unlawful content . I placed before the August gathering the practical challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in securing timely cooperation from digital platforms. The session also highlighted the importance of due diligence obligations, faster compliance timelines, and structured mechanisms for communication between platforms and authorities. As cybercrimes continue to grow in scale and complexity, it is essential to strike a careful balance between protecting freedom of expression and ensuring effective enforcement of law and order in the digital space. The conversation also touched upon leadership, building trust in traditionally male-dominated professions, creating inclusive workplaces, and encouraging women to step forward into leadership roles with confidence. This thoughtful initiative ensures that women undergoing urological procedures are supported by an entirely women-led clinical team, helping address hesitation and stigma that often prevent timely treatment. Healthcare access must be not only advanced, but also inclusive, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of patients. Initiatives like these play an important role in encouraging women to prioritise their health and seek medical care with confidence and dignity. Today, I delivered a session on “Tackling Cyber Crime- Telangana Model” at the MCR HRD Institute for the Group-1 (2025 batch) officers undergoing a 45-day training session. Interacting with over 200 young officers and discussing intelligence-led policing, financial fraud disruption, child protection, and AI-driven cybercrime investigations was truly encouraging. Cyber awareness at the policy and field-administration level is critical as governance becomes increasingly digital.
