This is what Americans can accomplish if they come together
Residents packed the Cave City City Council meeting to oppose a new Data Center
Their city leaders were going to pass a zoning ordinance change that would have made data centers a “permitted use”
Because of the resident pushback, the council rejected that zoning amendment
This is great, but you have to keep an eye on what they actually did
They then approved a one year moratorium on accepting, processing, or approving any data center applications or permits. This paused new projects while the city reviews zoning language
This is why you need to read the details, it’s only a 1 year moratorium
Keep pushing back. The fight resumes in 1 year in Kentucky

When I first began my search to find the un-redacted files for Fort Edward Solar, I had no idea the lengths to which New York State and these foreign solar developers were willing to go to force their complexes onto prime farmland and designated grasslands.
This is what I found.
I later tried to visit the physical ORES (Office of Renewable Energy Siting) office. They obviously didn’t allow me to meet them.
Funnily enough, 2 months later, ORES “moved its office” to a new location. It’s inaccessible to the public to this day.

San Marcos wanted their $4.4 million for their schools and fire department. I went to the council meeting. 167 residents were able to speak. Only two council members voted to withhold their money from Israel. The other four members including the mayor folded after threats from Governor Abbott to withhold any state funding and state grants already promised. The four members were afraid of the fight to keep their money and were afraid of being called antisemitic

Eminent domain for data centers is absurd.
Georgia paying data centers to come here with special tax breaks is absurd.
Ansley and her mom fighting for their home is heroic.

Today I got the opportunity to show Georgia state senator Greg Dolezal around the property that @GeorgiaPower is trying to take from my family through eminent domain. I will not stop fighting!
