The Signet Library
@signetlibrary
Law, history and conservation from the Signet Library in Edinburgh, the home of the Society of Writers to HM Signet for over 200 years.

Two noble sets of the State Trials - the 1719 edition, once in the library of the remarkable Lady Elizabeth "Betty" Germain (1680-1769), and the Hargrave 1776, once in the library of Francis, 9th Earl of Moray (1737–1810).

Painted in 1910, beautiful light captured in 'The Signet Library, Edinburgh' by Patrick William Adam (1854–1929) from the City Art Centre. One of Edinburgh's finest Georgian buildings - located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. #Edinburgh #foreveredinburgh @signetlibrary

An update on the @SignetLibrary Project on the John Watsons archives, funded by an OEC Jean Guild Grant, is on our website. We are also trying to find this painting of Vans Hathorn which used to hang in the school. Anyone know? #johnwatsonsschool @GWC_News oldedinburghclub.org.uk/john-watson-in…
