We had a detailed discussion on the outcomes of the meetings in the United States. It is telling that while our negotiators were reporting, Russia launched a new wave of “shahed” drones against Ukraine. The team reported on what was actually discussed in Florida – the key points, opportunities, and challenges. The most important task is to develop security guarantees in a way that brings us closer to ending the war. Security is the key to peace. The geopolitical situation has become more complicated due to the war against Iran, and unfortunately, this is emboldening Russia. But the fundamental circumstances have not changed. Russia continues this war and its destabilization of Europe, supports the Iranian regime with intelligence, and thereby prolongs the war in that region, while also preparing for new conflicts in the coming years. This threat of constant war across the map must be stopped. And this can only be done together – the United States, Europe, and other global actors. Meetings at the leadership level are needed to truly resolve these issues. I have instructed the team to continue working as actively as possible with partners so that diplomacy is substantive and that, in particular, humanitarian issues such as prisoner exchanges are resolved. I also instructed the team to brief our European and Canadian partners about the meetings in Florida.

Recovery efforts are underway in our regions following last night’s massive Russian attack. In Zaporizhzhia and Poltava, ordinary apartment buildings were damaged, and fires broke out. Nearly 40 drones were launched against Shostka in the Sumy region. In Slatyne, in the Kharkiv region, a drone struck an electric train. Overall, damage has been reported in 11 regions. As of now, unfortunately, four people have been reported killed in the attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens more have been injured, including children. In total, there were over 390 strike drones and 34 missiles of various types – ballistic, cruise, and guided air-launched missiles. These numbers clearly show that more protection is needed to save lives from Russian strikes. It is important to continue supporting Ukraine. It is important that all agreements on air defense are implemented on time. And it is important that Europe is able to produce the necessary number of air defense missiles to protect itself against any threats. There is growing evidence that the Russians continue to provide the Iranian regime with intelligence support. This is clearly destructive activity, and it must be stopped, as it only leads to further destabilization. All decent states are interested in guaranteeing security and preventing a larger crisis. Markets are already reacting negatively, and this is significantly complicating the fuel situation in many countries. By helping the Iranian regime stay afloat and strike more accurately, Russia is effectively prolonging the war. There must be a response.

Report by Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko. First, we have irrefutable evidence that the Russians continue to provide intelligence to the Iranian regime. Russia is using its own signals intelligence and electronic intelligence capabilities, as well as part of the data obtained through cooperation with partners in the Middle East. Second, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine regularly provides assessments of the situation on the frontline, as well as internal Russian information regarding activity on the battlefield. The Russian command constantly seeks to exaggerate the achievements of Russian forces on the frontline and subsequently use such inflated data from the headquarters of the Russian occupation contingent grouping in the negotiation process. Third, we have clear information that Russia is planning further deployment of ground-based control stations for long-range UAVs in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as four stations in Belarus. We will respond accordingly. I have instructed Oleh Ivashchenko to inform partners and media representatives about the data that we can make public.

We discussed the possibilities for gas supplies to Ukraine and opportunities for countering security challenges with the President of Mozambique, @daniel_chapo24. Ukraine is interested in additional energy supplies. Mozambique is interested in Ukraine's experience and technologies to strengthen its internal security and protect people from terror. We also discussed possible cooperation in the areas of digitalization and food security. We agreed that our teams will work together.
