@tomus_sherman @morajabi @kieranmch @uvasily @TauriApps If you choose to use the dangerousRemoteDomainIpcAccess feature then yes it's reminiscent of disabling CORS and CSP policies in a web app, but there are ways of developing the app safely regardless, there are just some extra considerations to be made.

@tomus_sherman @nickemccurdy Tauri uses CSP by default. To even use the asset protocol feature you have to manually update your CSP configs or else Tauri doesn't allow itself to use its own feature.

@nickemccurdy CSP is totally optional usually completely disabled by default. I've yet to find a framework that turns it on by default

Hot take: all webview-based desktop app frameworks have dangerous security models. Sure you might be able to restrict them to some extent but the default is bad Prove me wrong: Does any framework get this right?

@WyrmwoodGaming Here's how your website is doing according to Lighthouse. Get someone on just going through the list of suggestions it gives you, it literally has a checklist for you what needs to be fixed, someone just has to go over it and you can get 90+ scores. Easy peasy
