17-FEB-2024: QF147 SYD-AKL (VH-XZJ - B737-800) I would have never thought, I'd encounter one of the BEST Economy Class main dishes on a 2h 30min flight from Sydney 🇦🇺 to Auckland 🇳🇿 on Qantas, but my God. The Wagyu Beef stew with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes was DIVINE. 🙏

The Plaza Premium Lounge at SYD 🇦🇺 ✅ Buffet with hot and cold food options ✅ Bar with made-to-order coffee and other drinks ✅ Great apron view ✅ Good WiFi and availability of power ports ❌ So small, it qualifies for the term "tiny"

The House by Aspire at SYD 🇦🇺 ✅ Accessible with Priority Pass ✅ Located in the international terminal ✅ Buffet with a few hot and cold food options ✅ Shower rooms ✅ Used to be an Etihad Lounge 🇦🇪 and still boasts its interior and signage

14-FEB-2024: UA863 SFO-SYD (N2138U - B777-300ER) Tasty inflight meals? On United!? 😱 On this 14h flight from SFO 🇺🇸 to SYD 🇦🇺, United showed its improvements. The Butter Chicken was superb, and breakfast was tasty too. A truly enjoyable flight, also because Economy wasn't full.

The American Express Centurion Lounge at SFO 🇺🇸 ✅ Conveniently located near piers F and G ✅ Truly stunning food and beverage selection ✅ Not just tasty, but also healthy food ✅ Wine tasting section ✅ Very expansive with a wide variety of seating options

12-FEB-2024: B6161 JFK-SMF (N975JT - A321) Crossing the US 🇺🇸 aboard JetBlue's all-Economy Airbus A321. Legroom is fantastic up front. Appreciate the live TV and free snacks, although even they can't make a 6h flight fly by when looking forward to In-N-Out 🍔 the whole time. 👀

12-FEB-2024: LH401 FRA-JFK (D-ABTK - B747-400) A dream come true! ❤️ Crossing the Atlantic Ocean in the first row, all the way at the front of Lufthansa's 🇩🇪 Boeing 747-400. Surprisingly great catering, and the seats are very comfortable despite their age and lack of privacy. 🙏

The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at FRA 🇩🇪 ✅ Located in Concourse B ✅ Modern interior ✅ Tasty food and good beverage selection ❌ Appears to be operated by Lufthansa, as it has the same beverage and food selection, tableware, and even silverware as the LH Lounges

12-FEB-2024: OS201 VIE-FRA (OE-LBO - A320) In my last Tweet I mentioned how Austrian's 🇦🇹 Business Class catering truly shines with hot dishes. Case in point: the Shakshouka on this 6am flight to Frankfurt was FLAWLESS. ❤️ Look at this runny yolk! 🙏

10-FEB-2024: OS230 BER-VIE (OE-LXD - A320) Last hop back down to Vienna where I have a single day in town before heading out again... Business Class meal was great as always, although in the pm they sometimes only serve cold dishes, whereas OS truly shines with the hot ones. 🙏

10-FEB-2024: FI528 KEF-BER (TF-ICR - B737 MAX 8) Coincidentally continuing out of Keflavík 🇮🇸 aboard the same plane I came in on. This time with limited service though, as volcanic activity 🌋 has damaged a nearby pipe and there was no hot water in the flight kitchen.

09-FEB-2024: FI688 MCO-KEF (TF-ICR - B737 MAX 8) Heading back from Orlando 🌴 to Keflavík 🧊 aboard Icelandair's Boeing 737MAX, this time in Economy Class, featuring the pre-order meal service which consisted of a tasty lasagna, salad, and Tiramisu. 😋

05-FEB-2024: FI689 KEF-MCO (TF-ICG - B737 MAX 8) One of the world's longest 737MAX flights, clocking in at 7h 20min from Keflavík 🇮🇸 to Orlando 🇺🇸. Spotted surprisingly few connecting passengers at the gate, mostly Icelanders traveling to Florida. 🌴☀️

The Icelandair Saga Lounge at KEF 🇮🇸 ✅ Beautiful Nordic interior ✅ Buffet with a small selection of hot and cold dishes ✅ Great view outside ✅ Conveniently located near passport control ✅ Shower rooms ❌ Exclusively accessible for Saga Class and Icelandair status holders

05-FEB-2024: FI529 BER-KEF (TF-ICO - B737 MAX 8) Saga Class up from Berlin 🇩🇪 to Keflavík 🇮🇸. Unfortunately just a cold meal, but still tasty. Icelandair doesn't call it a "Business Class", as particularly on the longer flights to the US it feels more like Premium Economy... 👀

The Mövenpick Café at BER 🇩🇪 ✅ Priority Pass members get EUR 23 worth of free food and beverages at this Café, since they don't have a partner lounge at BER ✅ Plenty of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages ✅ Good food to-go selection ❌ Not actually an airport lounge

01-FEB-2024: OS231 VIE-BER (OE-LZA - A320) Mad props to Austrian Airlines 🇦🇹 for operating the majority of their flights to Germany 🇩🇪 today. 🙏💪 Airport security staff is on strike throughout the entire country today, meaning the plane ferries back to Vienna empty.
