Today, Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI) released the State of Democracy in Nigeria Report 2025, a comprehensive, data-driven assessment of how democracy functions across all 36 states. Beyond elections and institutions, the report interrogates a deeper question, are democratic processes translating into accountability, inclusion, and real governance outcomes? This is not a binary of success or failure. It is a call to understand where the gaps exist, and what must change. Congratulations, Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI)! #StrengtheningDemocracy #StateofDemocracyinNigeria

Relive the key moments and highlights from the launch of S.E.A.T. On Thursday, 30 April 2026, the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room officially launched the Situation Room Electoral Accountability Tracker & App. SEAT is a digital platform that introduces a more structured approach to electoral accountability by moving beyond event-based observation to continuous monitoring of electoral processes and stakeholder performance. It allows us to track not just what happens on election day, but also what happens long before and after elections. We invite government institutions, the electoral management body, political parties, the media, development partners, and citizens to engage actively with this tool; because accountability works best when it is collective, transparent, and sustained. Explore the platform at situationroomng.org/seat and download the App on the App Store or Google Play. #SEAT #SRTracker #ElectoralAccountabilityTracker #CredibilityThreshold2027 #SituationRoomNG

Elections happen, but accountability often fades soon after. Citizens are left with weak tracking of reforms and limited visibility on commitments made. That is why the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room launched S.E.A.T – a central, citizen-driven platform strengthening transparency, accountability, and public trust in Nigeria’s electoral process. Explore the platform at situationroomng.org/seat and download the App on the App Store or Google Play as we gear up for the upcoming elections. Let’s track progress, ensure accountability, and strengthen our electoral process together! #SEAT #SRTracker #ElectoralAccountabilityTracker #CredibilityThreshold2027 #SituationRoomNG
