@awksbush @radvwisp example! to radver’s point, I think william being less afraid of cops in PD actually makes a lot of sense. in UPP he’s just a kid who isn’t supposed to be sneaking around and solving mysteries, but he has a little more freedom as a registered hero. so he can use them

the tonal difference between unwitness protection program and PD will never cease to make me lose my mind. it also retroactively makes william’s lack of faith in authority so understandable.

unwitness protection program is my favorite thing jrwi has ever done by a long shot. this is fucking incredible

I love this fucked up little guy. And obviously he’s not the only one going into danger, the rest of the UPP and PD have agency, but it’s a pattern that I’ve been really fascinated by

he believes (understandably so) that he needs to fix the world. and he needs to do it “alone,” but being alone in this task terrifies him. so he leads his friends into danger, not despite the fact that he loves them, but *because* he loves them. +

it really does give a lot of weight to his character choices. like his compulsion: he needs to solve the mystery because if he doesn’t then literally everyone will die. and he’s used to nobody but UPP even being able to *see* any supernatural threat. +

@prioritymaiI absolutely that’s for sure the more entertaining option + troy has the audacity, strength, and sheer willpower for it. but unforch william’s ghost powers are too op for this particular situation
