The Prophet ﷺ told us: "The just will be on pulpits of light on the Day of Resurrection." [Muslim] Justice in your salah is one thing. Justice outside of it is another. You can pray five times a day and still be unjust — to your spouse, your employee, your neighbour, your child. Al-Adl sees both. The prayer and the behaviour between prayers. Tonight, before you stand for Isha — ask yourself: is there a right I owe someone that I have not fulfilled? Because the Prophet ﷺ told us about the bankrupt person who comes with prayer and fasting but owes rights to people — and his good deeds are given away to settle those debts. [Muslim] Al-Adl does not accept salah as a substitute for justice. He accepts salah AND justice. Both. Pray Isha. Then pay what you owe — in kindness, in money, in an apology. Whatever it is. Al-Adl settles all accounts.

Al-Aleem knew you would be reading this tonight. He knew you would stand for Isha tonight — or struggle to. He knew every salah you would pray in your entire life before you prayed your first one. And He still gave you the prayer. Knowing all your future mistakes. Knowing every time you would miss it. Knowing every time you would rush it. He gave it to you anyway. Not because He did not know. But because He knew — and still wanted you to have it. That is not ignorance. That is knowledge combined with mercy. Tonight, stand before Al-Aleem and know: He is not discovering who you are. He has known you since before you existed. And He still invited you in.

There is a dua in the Quran that calls on Al-Wahhab directly: "Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are Al-Wahhab." [Quran 3:8] Notice what they are asking for: not money. Not health. Not success. They are asking for the greatest gift — a heart that stays guided. Because guidance can be given and taken away. You can have it today and lose it tomorrow. The heart is between the fingers of Allah and He turns it as He wills. The scholars who knew Allah best did not ask for comfort. They asked for consistency. Tonight in sujood, try this dua: Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmah. Innaka Antal Wahhab. Ask the Bestower for the one gift that protects all the others — a heart that does not deviate.

The honest truth about your missed Fajr: It wasn't laziness. It wasn't weak iman. It was your phone at 12:47am. It was one more episode. It was "I'll just check Instagram for 5 minutes." Fajr didn't leave you. You left Fajr the night before. Fix the night. The morning fixes itself.

The Prophet ﷺ used to say in his ruku and sujood: "Subbuhun Quddus, Rabbul malaa'ikati war-ruh." [Muslim] "Most Glorious, Most Holy — Lord of the angels and the Spirit." The word Subbuh carries the meaning of declaring Allah free from all weakness. The One who subdues cannot be subdued. The One who overpowers cannot be overpowered. Tonight pray Isha with this Name in mind: the thing that feels bigger than you — your anxiety, your situation, your sin — Al-Qahhar has already subdued it. You just have not seen the result yet. Put your forehead on the ground tonight and let Al-Qahhar handle what you cannot.

@emanmumtaz42 Ameen. Peace doesn't usually come by Him removing the worry. It comes by Him changing what the worry feels like. Same problem. Different heart.

@Al__Quraan The verse comes right after Allah commands us to seek help through patience and salah. Salah was given as the tool to be patient with. Most of us try to be patient without ever opening the door He told us to use.

Al-Jabbar appears nine times in the Quran to describe human beings. Every single time — it is negative. Tyrant. Oppressor. Arrogant. But when it describes Allah — once, in Surah Al-Hashr [59:23] — it is perfection. Ibn al-Qayyim explained why: "When a created being compels others, it may render him unfair and transgressive. But when the Lord compels, His will always transpires fairly and graciously." Might in the hands of a human corrupts. Might in the hands of Al-Jabbar heals. When we see oppression or have been victims of oppression, He is Al-Jabbar. If someone wronged you — you do not need to carry it. You do not need to fix it yourself. Put it in sujood. Hand it to Al-Jabbar. He compels the tyrant. And He mends the one the tyrant broke.

The Arabic word for a splint — the thing doctors use to fix a broken bone — is jabeerah. Same root as Al-Jabbar. The One who compels all creation to His will — is the same One who mends what is broken. Not two Names. One Name. Two dimensions. He compels the universe. And He fixes your heart. The great scholars would make dua: "Ya Jaabir kul kaseer" — O You who mends everything that is broken. And He placed a specific moment in salah for you to ask for exactly this. Between the two sujood, the Prophet ﷺ would say: "Allahumma-ghfir li, warhamni, wajburni, wahdini, warzuqni." "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, MEND ME, guide me, and provide for me." [Tirmidhi] Wajburni. Mend me. From the same root as Al-Jabbar. You have a built-in moment in every single rakah to ask the Mender to fix you.

Ibn Zayd gave a third meaning of Al-Mu'min: "The One who attested to His faithful servants' having faith in Him." This one is personal. You came to salah tonight unsure. Maybe your iman feels weak. Maybe you are going through the motions. Maybe you wonder if you even believe properly. Al-Mu'min looks at your shaky, imperfect, distracted prayer — and confirms: this person has faith in Me. You did not validate your own iman. He did. The fact that you got up, made wudu, and stood on that mat — even when everything in you said do not bother — Al-Mu'min counts that. He does not need you to feel like a believer. He sees you acting like one. And He confirms it. Tonight, pray Isha — even if you feel nothing. Especially if you feel nothing. Al-Mu'min does not measure faith by feeling. He measures it by showing up. And you showed up.

Al-Mu'min comes from the same root as iman. Amn — security. Ibn Abbas said: "Al-Mu'min is the One who grants safety to His servants by promising He will never be unjust to them." Read that again. He is not promising that life will be easy. He is promising He will never be unfair. Every trial. Every delay. Every loss. Every unanswered dua. Al-Mu'min is telling you: none of it was injustice. I do not do that. And when you stand in salah — you are standing before the only Being in existence who has made that promise and has the power to keep it. No person can promise you that. No institution. No government. No relationship. Only Al-Mu'min. That is why salah is the only place where your heart can fully let go — because the One you are handing your affairs to has guaranteed He will never wrong you.

Because losing eyesight wasn't beyond his capacity. It broke him — but it didn't break his faith. "I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah." (12:86) The verse doesn't promise no pain. It promises no pain that pulls you away from Him. Ya'qub proved it. He lost his sight. He never lost his dua.

@Al__Quraan The hardest part of trusting Allah isn't believing He can change it. It's believing He's already chosen the perfect timing. Five times a day He gives us the chance to stop negotiating and start listening. That's what we're trying to remind people of at @thecall_app.

Allah described Himself with "He" (هُوَ) throughout the Qur'an — and we affirm what He affirmed for Himself. "There is nothing like Him" (Surah Ash-Shura 42:11) means He is unlike creation in every way — not in His essence, not in His attributes, and not in anything we can imagine. Imam Malik ibn Anas said regarding Allah's attributes: "The how (kayfiyyah) is unknown, belief in it is obligatory, and ASKING about it is an innovation." We affirm without likening (tashbīh), we do not distort (taḥrīf), we do not deny (taʿṭīl), and we do not ask how (takyīf). This is the path of the early generation of Muslims. As for the language: the masculine form in Arabic is the default. It is used for what is masculine, what has no gender, and what is beyond gender. The feminine is specific. The masculine can be general. Grammatical gender is not biological. The sun (الشمس) is grammatically feminine in Arabic, yet it is not female.

You may be anxious about something right now. A decision. A relationship. A message you are waiting for. Something you cannot control. When we feel anxious and disturbed, He is As-Salam. Not "He gives salam." He IS Salam. The anxiety cannot exist in the same space as Him — because He is its opposite. That is why salah works when nothing else does. You are not calming yourself down with breathing exercises. You are standing in the presence of the One whose very Name means peace. Tonight after Isha, do what the Prophet ﷺ did every single time. Before you check your phone. Before you stand up. Before you re-enter the noise. Say: Allahumma Antas-Salam, wa minkas-salam. Tabarakta ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram. You are asking the Source of peace to give you some before the world takes it away. He ﷺ never left salah without saying it. Neither should you.

Some recite Maliki Yawm ad-Deen in Al-Fatihah. Others recite Maaliki Yawm ad-Deen. Both are authentic Quranic recitations. Malik means King — the one who rules. Maalik means Owner — the one who possesses. A king rules from a throne. An owner holds it in his hand. Allah is both. He rules the Day of Judgement. And He owns it. Including what happens to you on it. Tonight in Isha — when you reach that fourth ayah — do not let it pass like a line you have memorised. You are standing before Al-Malik. In His court. Addressing Him directly. Acknowledging His authority over the most terrifying Day in existence. And He is letting you. Not everyone gets an audience with a king. But you get one. Seventeen times a day. Do not waste it.

On the Day of Judgement, Allah will fold the heavens and say: "I am the King. Where are the kings of the earth?" [Bukhari] Every throne — empty. Every empire — dust. Every title — meaningless. And the only people who will not be terrified of that moment are the ones who already practised standing before Al-Malik. Five times a day. That is what salah is training you for. You are not just praying. You are rehearsing for a Day that is coming — when standing before the King will not be optional. The difference is today you come as a guest. That Day you come as a subject being questioned. Come now while the door is still an invitation.
