Solana is betting on two categories in 2026: AI agents and perps. But for now, only one of them has real infrastructure momentum. The agentic side got a boost with PaySH, a CLI that lets AI agents pay for APIs directly through the x402 open payment protocol. This works because Solana is fast and cheap enough for the microtransactions that agents need. Perps is a different story. Solana is #2 in onchain perps volume, but the volume is fragmented across @JupiterExchange, @gmtrade_xyz, @DriftProtocol, @FlashTrade, and other protocols. There's no single product that represents "Solana perps" the way Hyperliquid represents onchain perps as a category. And unless Solana protocols start sharing liquidity or the UX converges, the category will stay fragmented. The @perps handle is probably an attempt to create that unified identity at the chain level. Which one do you think will define Solana in 2026?
