It may interest some here that leading costume designer Jenny Beavan will be a guest at The Space, an intimate event in Brighton, soon. Her work includes films such as Cruella, Mad Max: Fury Road and The King's Speech. This is selling fast at the-space.uk

Our JAWS screening was a year-ago, on January 23rd, at Picturehouse Central, followed by an interview with the cast of the play The Shark is Broken, including Ian Shaw, son of Robert Shaw. We'd love to hold more events.

Richard Dreyfuss, born 75 years-ago, on October 29th 1947, said of Jaws, "first time I saw it, I forgot I was in it. True, totally forgot, and got as scared as everybody else, and it's a great movie."

The set decorator Ian Whittaker, who died on October 16th aged 94, was Oscar-nominated for 1979's Alien. His work also included Highlander and Dragonslayer. Details on our screening of Alien in London on November 15th are at soundstageevents.co.uk

As well as Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, John Mollo, who died on October 25th 2017, was the costume designer for a wide range of films. They include Gandhi, Outland, Cry Freedom, Chaplin & Alien, which we'll screen on November 13th in London.
