I’ve got Tank beating Shakur by KO for various reasons: Physically, Tank has many traits where he matches or is superior him. Their height and reach is similar. Tank has shown to be just as fast, if not faster, and more explosive. He’s the superior puncher and I’d argue he’s a more proactive counterpuncher as well. Both fighters have amazing reflexes, even in close range. Tank has shown a better chin and willingness to over himself to his opponents, taking 10 of their shots to deliver 2 or 3 that close the show. Tank has shown the ability to fight equally well on the front foot and the backfoot, and he’s had devastating knockouts both ways. Shakur is a front foot fighter. He walks opponents down inching forward with an active high guard, sharp jab, and tight combinations. On the back foot, Shakur has fast feet and can defend well, but he isn’t prone to countering and has the tendency to move back in a straight line and get pinned on the ropes, especially against a southpaw. One of Shakur’s best attributes is his jab, which will be his first line of offense and defense against Tank. But as good as Shakur’s jab is, Tank has exhibited excellent jab defense in against opponents with a longer reach, along with a sense of distance management just as good as Shakur’s, being able to find the range to force taller fighters to over extend, miss, and get countered. Tank has shown to be more versatile against southpaw opponents. He’s shown a variety defensive tactics fighting in mid range, using blocks, parries, head movement, and also countering effectively with his shoulder while fighting in the closed stance. And he’s also shown the ability to walk a very mobile and active southpaw down with an active high guard, countering him whenever he steps into range and cutting off the ring to pin him on the ropes and land devastating combinations. I don’t see Shakur beating Tank in mid-close range, as it would benefit Tank more, and mistakes made my Shakur would be far more devastating. Tank’s speed and timing makes it risky to exchange at that distance. The best chance for Shakur is to fight long range, stay light on his feet. He needs to look towards Crawford and learn the best exit routes against southpaw opponents. I could go on and on but I think this post is long enough.
