Spy fiction is thriving, but the @The_CWA Daggers are barely recognising it. Spybrary's @ShippersUnbound argues that Britain’s biggest thriller awards are overlooking one of spy fiction's strongest eras. What do you think? spybrary.com/cwa-daggers-sp…

@mundoparacontar Joking aside it’s still a great read. Just challenging to know what’s true and what’s paranoia.

@EphieBernstein @Tonisenior @joeljmiller However where I do think they trouble book sales, and I have no data just a hunch, is when an author produces a 4+ episode series on their book… 30-45 mins should be sufficient to educate and share what’s in the book and why the listener should buy it.

This idea that podcasts are causing declines in nonfiction book sales is utter nonsense. My shelves are filled with great books I discovered through podcasts. The excellent @joeljmiller addressed this myth in a piece he published back in February. Is the Nonfiction Book Crisis for Real? And Are Podcasts to Blame? Next week, something brand new is hitting #Spybrary — and it’s a little different from anything we’ve done before. Saddle up, folks… the Spybrary Rodeo is coming. I may need to replace my Trilby with a tin hat…

Best city for a spy story? London, Berlin, Moscow, Paris, Istanbul, Vienna, or somewhere else? I think after 299 episodes of Spybrary you know my choice ;-) #spybrary

Great to be speaking with historian Oliver Webb-Carter for his podcast about my new book, SAS Great Escapes 5, today - we ended up discussing how many of those on the SAS missions depicted would end up facing war crimes charges - "Lawfare" - if those missions took place today, and how this persecution of our Armed Forces has to stop. Fascinating.
