Working together for a secure & stable Somalia 🇸🇴 🤝 🇬🇧 HMA Charlie King co-chaired his 1st Somalia Stability Fund III meeting w/Minister Hosh & agreed joint plans for the 3rd year of the multi-donor fund to progress stability through dialogue, local governance & reconciliation.

The meeting validated the third-year workplan of the Somalia Stability Fund Phase III, which focuses on reconciliation, state-building, and stabilization efforts across the country.

The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, co-chaired the SSF III High-Level Steering Committee (HLSC) meeting alongside the British Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Charles King.

Misinformation, rumors, denial & stigma on #COVID19/vaccine were addressed through interactive radio shows during the 2nd phase of #RiskCommunication & #CommunityEngagement in #Somalia over a period of 4 weeks. 10,530 SMS were received from 4,024 participants. @stability_fund

Together with @stability_fund, we promoted positive behavioural change towards COVID-19 in #Somalia. Majority of participants encouraged community members to take the #COVID19Vaccine to reduce the risk of exposure and prevent them from contracting #COVID19.

Through the Somalia @stability_fund 🇩🇰 has supported construction of a modern Police HQ + training of police officers & community members on community police programs in #Boassaso. Vulnerable communities are now more comfortable seeking help & security in Bossaso has improved!

Prisons in Somalia are some of the hardest hit places with Covid-19. They are also the least focused.Since August 🇩🇰 has supported over 1000 prisoners in 4 major prisons in Somalia with PPEs, hygiene equipment and medicine to help minimize risks of C-19. Thanks to @stability_fund
