@EliBenSasson yeah agreed. apart from security, the financial market is also run on human emotion and irrationality. they may be more vulnerable. see @the_nof1 on the other hand, they can be more disciplined than human if rules and precautions are set carefully for them.

@Starknet_ZH There a big difference between letting agents help us decide or monitor and giving them actual $ and permission to trade for us automatically. I would strongly advise against the latter.

Agents investing for us? Not any time soon. Everyone’s talking about how Crypto and AI will be a big thing. I’ll take the contrarian view. It won’t, at least not for Defi. Let me explain. Will Software, including AI and bots, be used for trading? Yes, sure! But that’s not new. So much of trading has been using software, including machine learning models, for decades. Will traders use AI to build new software? Sure! But this means that the traders who’ve been using software for decades will now expand their software tools (and the way they interact with them) to include AI. What about you and I talking to our personal bots, giving them $100 and saying “go earn me some yield”. This will end in tears nearly for anyone who tries it. Why? If you’re the only one doing it, maybe your agent will be lucky, or be under the radar, and will make you 10x. But more likely it’ll have one of those “oops, sorry” AI moments where it’ll lose all your money. If many of us start giving $100 to our agents, or if one of us gives $100,000 to its bot, it’ll be easy game for experts who’ll make a living sniping up these bots and convincing them to give up their money. It’ll be a very long time (if ever) till we have AI that’s smart enough to outsmart hackers who also have AI at their disposal to make short change of your dollars. So, don’t give your AI any amount of money you’re not willing to lose pretty quickly. THE END.
