It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of our brother Gen. Moses Ali. He died today at Nakasero Hospital, at 1600 hours. Gen Moses Ali has provided service to his country for a long time, as a soldier and a political leader. In the West Nile region, he provided the good example of being a big modern farmer. We shall miss greatly his contribution. May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace.

Last evening, President @KagutaMuseveni passed out 106 senior security officers who completed the Advanced Joint Senior Political Education and Leadership Development Course at the @NaliKyankwanzi.

President @KagutaMuseveni hosted a delegation of student officers from the War College of Mali at State House Entebbe, where he delivered a Lecture of Opportunity on Africa's prosperity, strategic security, Pan-Africanism, and economic integration. Drawing on over six decades of involvement in African affairs, the President urged the officers to champion patriotism, economic transformation, and political integration, noting that prosperity comes through production, value addition, and access to larger markets. The Commander-in-Chief emphasised that Africa's long-term security and development depend on united, self-reliant nations capable of defending their achievements and working together to address shared challenges, including terrorism and external competition for the continent's resources.

President @KagutaMuseveni today received a special message from his Angolan counterpart, H.E. João Lourenço, delivered by Angola's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, during a meeting at the President's Kisozi farm in Gomba District. The meeting also covered matters of mutual interest, including Angola's candidature of Josefa Sacko for FAO Director-General. President Museveni pledged Uganda's support, reaffirming the importance of African solidarity and cooperation.

Today at Kisozi Farm, I met H.E. Téte António, Angola’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, who delivered a special message from H.E. President João Lourenço. We discussed matters of mutual interest, including Angola’s candidature of Josefa Sacko for the position of FAO Director-General. We shall support Angola’s candidature because African solidarity is crucial in advancing our shared interests. Africans must continue standing together and supporting one another on issues of strategic importance to our continent.

This morning at my Kisozi Farm, I received Mr. Floribert Anzuluni Isiloketshi, the Special Envoy of the Democratic Republic of Congo. We discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly the security situation in eastern DRC. Peace and stability in our region remain essential for the prosperity of our people, and we shall continue working together with our regional partners to address the challenges facing eastern Congo.

President @KagutaMuseveni has reiterated that Uganda and Africa's long-term strategic security depends on socio-economic transformation and economic and political integration. While presiding over the graduation of NDC- U Course 04/2025–26, the Commander-in-Chief also pledged Shs50 billion towards the expansion and modernisation of the National Defence College- Uganda to enhance professional military education.

This afternoon, I presided over the graduation of 21 officers who completed the National Security and Strategic Studies Course at the National Defence College in Buikwe district. I congratulate them and urge them to provide strategic leadership in safeguarding our country’s security and development. To build a strong centre of gravity for Africa, we must strengthen our defence capabilities on land, in the air, at sea and in space. At the same time, we must prioritise wealth creation because prosperity is the foundation of security. I wish them good luck.

H.E the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Gen (Rtd) @KagutaMuseveni, is at the National Defence College–Uganda (NDC-U) in Njeru, Buikwe District, where he will preside over the graduation ceremony of 21 UPDF officers of Intake 04 (2025/26).

President @KagutaMuseveni has urged newly passed-out UPDF recruits to uphold discipline, safeguard their health, continuously sharpen their professional skills, and remain committed to defending Uganda, emphasizing that a strong military must be backed by a strong economy driven by production and modernization.
