Women’s History Month continues with Rose Schneiderman and the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. After the tragic Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire killed 146 garment workers, mostly young immigrant women, Rose Schneiderman became a leading voice for workplace safety reform.

USW members in Arizona have been proudly mining copper for generations. As the Resolution Copper Project moves into its next phase of development, we’re committed to ensuring that the jobs created are good, safe ones with community-sustaining wages and benefits.

Addie Wyatt was a labor leader, civil rights activist, and the first Black woman elected as an international VP of a major union. She fought for fair wages, racial equality, and opportunities for women in the workplace.
