As a working parent of two, and a community faith leader, @stephanieruskay knows what educators, students, and families need to thrive.
She'll protect school funding, expand Universal Pre-K, and support universal afterschool & summer programs.
@UFT is proud to support her candidacy in AD-69. 📖

Long before I ever imagined running for office, I had the privilege of learning from @ruth_messinger.
She has been a mentor, a dear friend, and one of the people who helped shape the leader I am today.
As Election Day approaches, I'm deeply grateful for her support, but even more grateful for her friendship and belief in me.

Today is the last day of early voting.
I'm deeply grateful for Council Majority Leader @ShaunAbreu's support. He hasn't just endorsed this campaign. He's spent countless hours on the streets with me because he believes in what we're building together.
Over the course of this campaign, he's become a trusted thought partner and a friend. His belief in me and this campaign means more than I can say.

The legendary @galeabrewer has been synonymous with the West Side for decades. She's the type of experienced, accomplished leader I aspire to be! Proud to have her support, and I can't wait to work with her.

3 days until Election Day.
One of my favorite parts of this campaign has been meeting so many supporters during early voting.
We still need a few more volunteers at polling sites this week. If you can spare a couple of hours, sign up today and help us reach voters before Election Day:

And if you haven't voted yet, make a plan to vote early. Early voting runs through Sunday, June 21. Election Day is June 23.
Let’s bring it home. 💙

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and reminds us that the struggle for freedom and justice is not over.
That means closing Rikers Island, investing in NYCHA, and confronting the systems that continue to deny too many New Yorkers dignity and opportunity.
The promise of freedom is not just liberation from oppression. It is the right to live safely, afford a home, and build a future in the community you call home.

New York is a union town because generations of workers fought for it to be one.
I'm honored to have earned the support of @UFT, @32BJSEIU, @NYHTC, @nysut, @FollowCSA the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators, AFL-CIO, Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1056, Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local Union Local #1, and the Tile Marble Terrazzo Local #7.
I take that trust seriously. As your Assemblymember, I'll fight for fair wages, strong union protections, safe working conditions, and good union jobs.
Workers have always had New York's back. I'll have theirs in Albany.

Proud to earn the Gun Sense Candidate distinction from @MomsDemand Action.
Before anything else, I'm a mom. No parent should have to worry whether their child will come home safely from school.
Mass shootings and gun violence cannot become normal. As your Assemblymember, I'll fight to strengthen gun safety laws and keep our communities safe.

Election Day is less than a week away, and early voting continues through Sunday.
Thank you to the West 102nd & 103rd Block Associations for organizing The Longest Table this weekend. Neighbors gathered to share a meal, build community, and connect across differences. The message was simple: everyone deserves a seat at the table.
That's what democracy should look like. As your Assemblymember, I'll work to make sure every voice is heard and every neighbor has a seat at the table.

She will make a great Assembly Member — UWS, get out there!

My father died 29 years ago, but I still carry a question he asked me every night growing up: "What did you do today to make the world safe for democracy?" That question shaped the course of my life and led me to a career spent bringing people together across differences. Now, I'm running for State Assembly because I believe democracy is strongest when everyone is heard, everyone belongs, and everyone has a voice. Early voting is underway. Election Day is one week away. Let's build the future my father taught me to believe in.

100 years ago, New York City arrested Eve Adams for the "crime" of being gay.
A Polish-Jewish immigrant, LGBTQ pioneer, and owner of Eve's Hangout in Greenwich Village, she was entrapped by police, convicted, deported, and ultimately murdered at Auschwitz.
I've asked the City to formally acknowledge that Eve Adams was failed by New York and that her conviction was an injustice rooted in discrimination.
We can't change history, but we can tell the truth about it.
