@misterbigpants You can call a number using a phone???! Since when??!?
English

This Samsung ad is amazing! Inferior phone people take pictures of the poor lost cat, rather than help. One man, armed with his trusty Samsung Galaxy S24, takes pictures of the poor lost cat THEN removes reflections. The hero we don't deserve. youtube.com/watch?v=Xrq3OX…

@misterbigpants But a broken nose at the end DID stop him. He whined about it and cowered away. Will he continue to be a bully? Possible. But evidence indicates he’ll be much less successful — not as likely to SUCCEED.
English

@stephenkennedy But Melvin never backs down. He didn't when Clifford stood up to him. He didn't when the principal almost expelled him. He didn't when Clifford hired a bodyguard. Why would a sock to the nose suddenly stop him? I agree he'll avoid Clifford, but double down on any other dissent.
English

@misterbigpants @john_axon Succeed: “achieve the desired aim or result.” Was it Biff’s desired aim to work for McFly and clean his car? I’d say that from where Biff started at the beginning of the film and where he ended up at the end, wasn’t really a success for him.
English

@misterbigpants Yes, it was up to the students to do something. And Clifford did. And every other kid that ever paid Melvin money knows that all they have to do is not pay him and sock him in the nose and he’ll back down.
English

@stephenkennedy We got ourselves... A DEBATE! Melvin relied on physical violence - not fear - and had 3 friends ready to deliver. Melvin was also surprisingly resilient, overcoming a bodyguards obstacle then resuming his violence campaign. Why would he stop? 1:25:40 youtu.be/ryTlG80LBwk?t=…

@misterbigpants @john_axon Mr. Mountbiscuit (if I may call you that) gave you a movie where Biff CLEARLY was the bully and got his comeuppance. Citing a different movie to discount that doesn’t fit into the confines of your challenge.
English

@john_axon "Back to the Future" shows that NOT being a bully turns you into a servant of George McFly. "Back to the Future 2" shows that being a bully makes you one of the wealthiest, most powerful men on the planet. If Biff were never a bully, he would have done MUCH worse.
English

@misterbigpants No. Melvin didn’t beat students up and take their money. Students gave him their money so Melvin wouldn’t beat them up. So fear, not just violence. And, again, the “little” new guy in school just defeated him proving Melvin shouldn’t be feared.
English

@misterbigpants Melvin simply “avoiding Clifford” (your words) will do nothing since it will spread that he has lost all his fear and power (it was already happening), a lot more than just “one setback” (your words)
English

@misterbigpants It had already started: earlier one student told Melvin that he didn’t think he had to pay protection money because Clifford wasn’t. So no one will pay now since there’s nothing to fear.
English

@misterbigpants While I did outlast @misterbigpants, watching the show until season 20 (I know, it’s not a competition … but I did outlast him), I just watched this double non-canon episode on his recommendation and agree it was fantastic!
