On this day in 1929, Christopher Plummer was born in Toronto. A veteran of the Stratford Festival, his career in film, theatre and TV spanned seven decades. He won an Academy Award, two Tonys and two Emmys. He is the only Canadian to win the Triple Crown of Acting.

There are also pieces of Martha’s costume from her first role at the Festival, as Miranda in 1962, and pieces of the original tent that housed our first four seasons, from 1953 to 1956. Her magic staff also includes pieces of the original stage floor.
